About Us

Rho is the modern banking platform built for the AI era. Startups and growth-stage companies can open accounts in minutes, issue cards, manage expenses, pay bills, and close the books – all in one connected platform backed by real human support.

About the Role

Rho is looking for a Partnerships Associate to help scale our VC and strategic partnerships engine. You'll work directly with the Head of VC Partnerships across the full partnership lifecycle — supporting relationships with venture funds, building out strategic service provider partnerships, assisting in negotiations, and setting up the systems that keep everything running. Your core mandate: keep things on track and expand the team's capacity to win more deals.

This is an ideal role for someone early in their career (0–2 years) who wants a front-row seat to how partnerships drive growth at a fast-moving fintech — and who's excited to earn ownership quickly.

What You'll Do

VC Partnership Support
  • Support day-to-day management of relationships with venture funds and their platform teams

  • Prepare briefing materials, meeting agendas, and follow-ups for partner conversations

  • Track referral activity and pipeline from VC partners; flag stalled deals and surface opportunities

  • Help coordinate co-marketing, events, and portfolio-facing initiatives with fund partners

  • Conduct research on prospective fund partners and their portfolios

Strategic Service Provider Partnerships
  • Identify, evaluate, and help onboard service provider partners (law firms, accounting firms, banks-adjacent services, startup tooling, etc.)

  • Own the operational side of partner launches: agreements, enablement materials, and internal rollout

  • Monitor partner performance against goals and prepare quarterly reviews

Negotiation Support
  • Assist in preparing partner materials: perk pages, partner comms, etc.

  • Draft and redline partnership terms alongside the Head of VC Partnerships and legal

  • Track open negotiation items and drive them to close

Ops & Systems
  • Build and maintain the systems that run the partnerships function: CRM hygiene, pipeline tracking, reporting dashboards, and partner databases

  • Document and improve repeatable processes (partner onboarding, referral handoffs, event workflows)

  • Own follow-up loops across the team — nothing falls through the cracks on your watch

  • Produce regular reporting on partnership-sourced pipeline and revenue for leadership

Who You Are
  • 0–2 years of experience in partnerships, BD, VC platform, banking, consulting, or a similar fast-paced role (strong internships count)

  • Exceptionally organized — you naturally track details, deadlines, and follow-ups without being asked

  • Strong written and verbal communicator, comfortable interfacing with senior external stakeholders

  • Systems thinker who enjoys building processes and working in tools like Salesforce, Notion, and spreadsheets

  • Curious about venture capital, startups, and fintech

  • Low ego, high ownership — willing to do whatever moves the deal forward

  • Based in San Francisco and will come in office 5 days a week

Nice to Have
  • Exposure to the VC ecosystem (fund internship, platform role, startup BD)

  • Experience with CRM administration or light data/reporting work

Compensation

Our people are our most valuable asset. The budgeted salary for this role is up to $140k OTE. Salary may vary depending on relevant experience, skills, and business needs. In addition to pay, Rho offers equity, health/dental/vision, 401(k), and other benefits.

Why This Role

You'll learn how partnerships actually get done — sourcing, structuring, negotiating, launching — while working directly with the leader of the function. High visibility, fast feedback, and a clear path to owning your own partner book.

Diversity is a core value at Rho. We’re passionate about building and sustaining an inclusive and equitable environment for all those involved with our mission, including employees, contractors, candidates, customers and vendors. We believe every member of the Rho community enriches our ability to provide a broad range of ways to understand and engage with the market, identify problems, and drive solutions that align with our mission. We welcome all qualified applications and support each of our Rho’ers with ongoing professional growth opportunities.
