Job Summary:

Valley Children’s Specialty Medical Group is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Pediatric Neurologist to join our growing pediatric neuroscience program at Valley Children’s Healthcare.
This is an outstanding opportunity to join an established, collaborative team providing comprehensive neurological care to children throughout Central California. The position offers a diverse pediatric neurology practice, exposure to a broad range of neurological conditions, and the opportunity to develop or expand an area of clinical interest within the neuroscience program.

Job Description:

Opportunity Highlights:

  • Join an established and growing pediatric neurology and neuroscience program
  • Provide comprehensive care for children with a broad range of neurological conditions, from common childhood disorders to medically complex and rare conditions requiring multidisciplinary care
  • Build a diverse outpatient pediatric neurology practice while participating in inpatient neurological consultation and care
  • Maintain and develop EEG interpretation skills: our neurologists are encouraged to read their own EEGs, with the expertise and support of our epilepsy program available when needed
  • Collaborate with our Level 4 Epilepsy Center for patients requiring advanced epilepsy evaluation, treatment or surgical consideration
  • Opportunity to develop or expand a clinical area of interest based on individual expertise
  • Work closely with pediatric neurosurgery, neuropsychology, rehabilitation medicine, genetics, critical care and other pediatric subspecialties to provide coordinated, family-centered care for children with complex neurological conditions
  • Access to advanced neurodiagnostic, imaging and treatment resources
  • Benefit from a large regional referral base with a diverse and medically complex pediatric population
  • Work within a collaborative team where physicians support one another in evaluating challenging neurological presentations and managing complex epilepsies.

Qualifications include:

  • MD or DO degree
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology with Special Qualification in Child Neurology
  • Eligible for medical licensure in the State of California
  • Excellent clinical, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to multidisciplinary, family-centered pediatric care
