About Us:
Grow was born to tackle a critical challenge: making mental health care more effective and accessible for everyone. Since launching in 2020, 15 million sessions have started on Grow, and we've barely scratched the surface. We do it through a three-sided marketplace that empowers providers, augments insurance payors, and serves patients. Every solution we build reveals ten more waiting to be delivered, and that's just what gets us going. We've backed that ambition with more than $328M in funding, including our Series D at a $3B valuation from Sequoia Capital, Transformation Capital, TCV, SignalFire, Menlo Ventures, Goldman Sachs Alternatives, and others.
At Grow, the work you do can literally change someone's life. Your work here doesn't stay on a screen; it impacts whether someone can find, afford, and access quality care. That ambition sets us apart, and offers you an endless runway to impact one of the world's most urgent issues. We don’t have passenger seats here. Everyone is driving something that matters.
This work deserves real commitment. So if you thrive on meeting problems head on, untangling serious complexity, and working at pace with the sharpest yet kindest people around, you've come to the right place.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Grow Therapy is hiring a People Business Partner to serve as a deeply embedded partner to our Operations organization and help create the conditions for high performance across a large, fast-moving exempt and non-exempt workforce. This person will be closest to the day-to-day employee experience – helping Supervisors and Managers navigate complex people decisions, strengthen their leadership, and address issues with clarity, care, and sound judgment. They will also help build scalable programs that make our approach to performance, feedback, learning, and engagement stronger and scalable over time.
People Advisor & Frontline Leadership Partner — Operations (80%)
You'll be a trusted, highly visible partner to Supervisors and Managers across Operations – the person they turn to for practical guidance, thoughtful coaching, and help to create a high bar, high car environment. That means:
Coaching frontline leaders. You help Supervisors and Managers build confidence and capability – delivering clear feedback, setting expectations, and addressing issues early.
Navigating employee relations. You lead employee relations matters, including performance concerns, policy and leaves questions, attendance issues, and other sensitive situations, with the judgment to know when and how to escalate.
Driving performance and accountability. You guide leaders through goal setting, performance improvement, recognition, and fair decision-making, helping teams maintain a high bar with high care.
Creating clarity and consistency. You help leaders apply People policies and practices consistently across an exempt and non-exempt workforce, partnering closely with Talent Activation, People Operations, and Legal when needed.
Staying close to the business. You build strong relationships across Operations, understand the realities of the day-to-day work, and use themes from engagement signals, and leader conversations to surface risks and opportunities.
Build Scalable Talent Practices Across Operations (20%)
Run evergreen programs and special projects that continuously improve how we approach performance, feedback, learning, and engagement across Operations
Support annual and quarterly planning and roadmapping for Operations people priorities
Use quantitative and qualitative data to spot trends, surface insights, and proactively shape people decisions before issues arise
You're an experienced People Business Partner with experience supporting a multi-state, fast-paced workforce that includes both exempt and non-exempt employees. You have at least 5 years of experience in an HRBP or People Partner role with strong emphasis on supporting non-exempt populations; even better if you have firsthand experience working in a frontline or customer-facing operational role, giving you a practical understanding of the day-to-day realities facing the teams you’ll support.
You know how to develop first time managers, especially those on the frontlines. You know how to meet newer leaders where they are, ask the right questions, give direct feedback with care, and build credibility quickly.
You're willing to roll up your sleeves. You enjoy being close to the day-to-day work, diving into the details, and working alongside earlier career leaders to move issues forward. You use that context to make better decisions, identify patterns, and improve how the organization operates.
You bring excellent judgment. You can balance empathy, risk, and business needs; handle sensitive information with discretion; and know when to act independently versus pull in the right partners.
You're a high-performance operator. You manage a dynamic portfolio of work, follow through reliably, and bring structure and momentum to ambiguous, complex situations.
You're a clear, adaptable communicator. You can simplify complex issues, write strong documentation, and tailor your approach for employees of differing levels and roles.
You're analytical and systems-minded. You use data and business context to identify trends and translate recurring challenges into practical, scalable solutions.
