Say hello to Hagerty

Hagerty is a company built by drivers for drivers. We put our members at the center of everything we do, and are dedicated to making it easier and more enjoyable for enthusiasts to drive and celebrate the machines they love. We’re proud to be the world’s largest insurer of collectible and enthusiast vehicles and are home to the Hagerty Drivers Club, the world’s largest car club. Our Marketplace business presents live and digital sales across the U.S. and Europe, we host a number of driving events and concours, and our award-winning automotive journalists produce the most popular car magazine globally, alongside internationally awarded videos. We’re committed to Never Stop Driving. Ready to get in the driver’s seat? Join us!

As a People Insights Specialist, you'll own programs that monitor and measure Hagerty's relationship with the people who matter most to the business – employees, members, partners and enthusiasts – and their perceptions and experiences with our brand, products and services, and as a place to work.

Curiosity is at the heart of this role. We're looking for someone who loves learning, both about people and about the tools and methods we use to understand them.

You'll be the team's hands-on owner of our experience management platform (currently Qualtrics), managing a recurring set of platform work, uploading contact lists, programming studies, building dashboards and providing project support and management across the team's broader research agenda. As our tools and needs evolve, you'll help us learn and adopt what comes next.

You'll also serve as a people advocate, building a deep understanding of what drives loyalty and meets the needs of employees, members, partners and enthusiasts. You'll dig into the data to pull out the themes it's telling us, then write and present those findings to the business, with your manager as a thought partner.

What you’ll do

Platform Management

  • Own day-to-day management of our experience management platform (currently Qualtrics).
  • Program surveys and research instruments, including logic, routing, and question design.
  • Upload and manage contact lists and deploy surveys to the right audience at the right time.
  • Build and maintain dashboards that keep stakeholders current on key metrics.
  • Create video feedback reels and other platform-native outputs that bring research to life.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to survey design, deployment and reporting processes
  • Proactively explore platform features, new methods and best practices, and bring ideas back to the team.

Reporting & Insights

  • Review research and survey data to identify emerging themes and patterns, particularly on recurring reports and tracked metrics, and bring your own point of view on what they mean.
  • Write reports and summaries that pull findings together into a clear narrative, working with your manager to shape the story the data is telling.
  • Present findings to stakeholders, tailoring your message and framing to each audience.

Project & Team Support

  • Manage timelines, deliverables and stakeholder communication for key insight projects
  • Provide project management and operational support to the People Insights team.
  • Coordinate with corporate communications, procurement, partnerships, and analytics teams to keep research projects moving and aligned.
  • Maintain and update internal resources (Gearbox/SharePoint) related to People Insights work.

This might describe you

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Strategy, CX, or Insights, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in research, insights, project management, or a related field; experience with Qualtrics or a comparable survey/feedback platform is a strong plus, but not required if you're a quick, self-directed learner.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills – writing, presentation development, and storytelling.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines with minimal day-to-day oversight.
  • Deeply curious and inquisitive, with a genuine desire to learn more about people and what drives their behavior and loyalty, and a habit of asking "why" behind the numbers.
  • A self-directed learner: when you encounter something new, whether a platform feature, a survey method or a tool, you dig in, experiment and figure it out rather than waiting to be taught.
  • Excited by the chance to build real fluency in our experience management platform and to help shape how we use it as our tools and needs evolve.
  • Open to feedback and coaching on interpretation of findings, and eager to build increasingly independent judgment over time.

Other things to note

  • This position is open to U.S. remote work. However, team members who reside within 20 miles of the Traverse City headquarters will follow a hybrid schedule, working from the office three days per week. Traverse City location a plus.
  • May require travel for quarterly events.
  • Familiarity with public company requirements, including Sarbanes Oxley and key regulations, if applicable. For SOX compliant roles, responsible for designing, executing, and documenting internal controls where they have been identified as owners to prevent errors in financial reporting, processes, and business operations. Including attestation to the completeness, accuracy, and compliance of all financial reporting data, where applicable.

If you reside in the following jurisdictions: Illinois, Colorado, California, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, or Jersey City, New Jersey, Cincinnati or Toledo, Ohio, Rhode Island, Washington, British Columbia, Canada please email [email protected] for compensation, comprehensive benefits and the perks that set us apart.

At Hagerty, we share the road. We are an inclusive automotive community where all are welcomed, valued and belong regardless of race, gender, age, or car preference.  We are united by our shared passion for driving, our commitment to preserve car culture for future generations and our desire to make a positive impact in the world.
