About the role

The People Partner provides high-quality, proactive support to assigned teams and leaders, helping drive clarity, consistency, and strong performance across the organization. This role executes foundational People Partner responsibilities—including employee relations support, coaching for managers, performance processes, and engagement insights—while developing increasing strategic influence.


The People Partner helps ensure employees have a positive experience and leaders are equipped to build accountable, high-performing teams.


What you'll do

Manager Support & Day-to-Day Partnership

  • Serve as the primary People Ops contact for employees and managers within assigned groups.
  • Provide guidance on policies, onboarding, employee experience questions, and manager enablement.
  • Coach managers on foundational leadership skills, including feedback, documentation, and communication.

Employee Relations Support

  • Manage medium-complexity employee relations cases with support from senior team members.
  • Ensure consistent documentation, escalation, and follow-through.
  • Identify emerging trends and raise risks early.

Performance Management

  • Support leaders in applying Riot’s continuous performance process.
  • Assist with goal clarity, feedback practices, and performance documentation.
  • Identify performance issues early and collaborate with the Senior People Partner or Director on effective interventions.

Culture & Employee Experience

  • Reinforce Riot’s expectations for accountability, clarity, and performance.
  • Support engagement initiatives, listening efforts, and follow-up action plans.
  • Provide insights on employee sentiment and team dynamics.

Program Delivery & COE Collaboration

  • Partner with Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, L&D, and Talent Management to execute people programs.
  • Ensure employees understand and can access the appropriate programs, tools, and resources.
  • Help ensure consistent adoption of new processes, systems, and workflows.

Data & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate employee data and support analysis of workforce trends.
  • Track team metrics and identify opportunities for improvement


What you'll bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years of HR experience, ideally in a generalist, employee relations, or junior business partner role.
  • A strong foundation in HR practices, employee relations fundamentals, and manager enablement.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, influence with clarity, and build strong relationships.
  • A curious, proactive approach and eagerness to grow into a more strategic partnership role.
