About The Role

Brain Co. is scaling rapidly across Engineering, GTM, and G&A. As headcount and hiring velocity increase, onboarding, compliance, and people systems must mature in parallel.

This role combines operational excellence with strategic partnership, ensuring we scale with clarity, consistency, and strong leadership foundations.

This is a builder role for someone who wants to shape People infrastructure while advising functional leaders.

In This Role, You Will:

Drive Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure completion of I-9s, background checks, and required documentation

  • Partner with immigration counsel regularly

  • Coordinate payroll setup and benefits administration

  • Maintain documentation to ensure audit readiness

Build Scalable Systems & Processes

  • Design and document onboarding and offboarding processes

  • Improve operational workflows across People systems

  • Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements

  • Establish clear cross-functional handoffs with Recruiting, IT, Workplace, and Finance

  • Become our ATS and HRIS systems experts and help pull reports for leadership

Partner Cross Functionally

  • Coordinate closely with Recruiting on post-offer transitions

  • Partner with IT and Security on equipment and system provisioning

  • Partner with team on reimbursements and payroll matters

  • Partner with Workplace on Day 1 logistics and our new hire experience

  • Own the off-boarding for Brain Co

Program Manage

  • Have strong project management skills to lead company wide people initiatives like a performance review program, company surveys, offsite coordination

  • Be able to gather, analyze and report on trends, and then make recommendations for improvements

  • Take on projects that are technical in nature, like transitioning various internal systems, like an HRIS change

  • Partner with Workplace, Security, Recruiting, Leadership to assist on broader HR initiatives

You Will Thrive In This Role If You:

  • Have 5–7+ years of experience in People Operations in high and fast growth environments

  • Have deep familiarity with compliance, payroll coordination, and HR systems

  • Are highly organized and detail-oriented without losing sight of scalability

  • Are capable of building in structure and process from ambiguity to create clarity

  • Are very tech savvy / inclined

  • Enjoy answering questions on a broad range of people / employee related questions

  • Can operate with little direction

  • Know how to self-prioritize work

  • Can partner well with people across all backgrounds in a truly global company

  • Are passionate about building infrastructure and being deep in details

  • Take extreme ownership over outcomes

  • Can operate with discretion and sound judgment
