What you’ll do

The People Strategy & Enablement team drives strategic clarity and alignment for the People team and our stakeholders. We empower and enable innovative, connected People products and programs that advance our shared goals and support sustainable growth.

As a Senior Project Manager on our team, you will be focused both on supporting the strategy and operations of the People team, ensuring the People team can scale and meet the demand of Stripe as a whole. You will have the opportunity to lead cross-functional projects that will have a profound impact on the company, with a need to flex across all People domains.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the People Leadership Team and senior leaders to define and implement both longer horizon strategic roadmaps and annual goal-setting aligned with company priorities.
  • Drive, track, and measure the organization’s progress toward key priorities, highlighting successes and areas for improvement, seeing around corners, and simplifying complex information into actionable insights.
  • Design, iterate on, and execute key operating rhythms such as Monthly Business Reviews, decision-making forums, and Board decks with an eye towards helping the People org and Stripe operate effectively and efficiently.
  • Tackle hard, ambiguous questions with rigor and independence, owning projects from problem definition to final recommendation.
  • Develop and implement project plans, optimize workflows and ensure all stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the process.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and proactively implement mitigation strategies to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, finance, and engineering, to assess the impact of AI and crypto products and identify areas for improvement in processes and controls.
  • Establish and maintain effective project governance, ensuring that all project activities, decisions, and key milestones comply with standards and best practices.
  • Prepare materials to present to senior leadership, internal and external stakeholders, and users.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, experimentation, and continuous improvement within the People team.

Who you are

We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these, we encourage you to apply. Preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

Minimum requirements

  • Have 10+ years of experience in business operations, strategy, project management or consulting, with at least 2 years operating within an HR team at a company.
  • Ability to align business goals with strategic initiatives, demonstrating a solid understanding of how to drive impact through People strategies and operations.
  • A proven track record of navigating complexity and driving results with a balance of urgency and thoughtfulness.
  • Have excellent cross-functional collaboration skills and a proven ability to build trust and drive alignment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset aimed at informing decision making.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively to various stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Asana, Jira, Airtable) and methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, etc.).
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration abilities and a proven track record of building trust and driving alignment across teams.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with change management frameworks (e.g. Prosci ADKAR® Model)
  • Experience building and deploying enablement and training materials
  • Experience across HR systems (e.g. Workday, Greenhouse, Retool)
  • Experience working with AI tools to increase productivity
  • Advanced Mac OS and Google suite skills (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides)
