About Decagon

Decagon is the leading conversational AI platform empowering every brand to deliver concierge customer experiences.

Our technology enables industry-defining enterprises like Avis Budget Group, Block’s Cash App and Square, Chime, Oura Health, and Hunter Douglas to deploy AI agents that power personalized, deeply satisfying interactions across voice, chat, email, SMS, and every other channel.

We’re building a future where customer experiences are being redefined from support tickets and hold music to faster resolutions, richer conversations, and deeper relationships. We’re proud to be backed by world-class investors who share that vision, including a16z, Accel, Bain Capital Ventures, Coatue, and Index Ventures, along with many others.

We’re an in-office company, driven by a shared commitment to excellence and velocity. Our values — Just Get It Done, Invent What Customers Want, Winner’s Mindset, and The Polymath Principle — shape how we work and grow as a team.

About the Role

We're looking for a Performance Marketing Manager to scale Decagon's paid social programs internationally, with an initial focus on EMEA. This role owns paid social spend end-to-end—LinkedIn, Meta, Reddit, emerging platforms—and is responsible for standing up and scaling an EMEA motion. You'll partner closely with EMEA sales leadership to make sure spend allocation tracks where the deals actually are, not just where measurement is easiest.

This is a channel-owner role for someone who's spiked in paid social specifically and has managed large budgets where efficiency and allocation decisions really matter. While paid social is the core of the role, you'll also flex into adjacent demand gen work—ABM, landing pages, email—as EMEA-specific needs come up.

In this role, you will

  • Own paid social end-to-end: Run LinkedIn, Meta, X, and emerging platforms from creative brief through launch, optimization, and reporting. You're accountable for efficiency and output across the full paid social budget, not just execution.

  • Scale spend into EMEA: Stand up and grow a paid social motion in EMEA from its current early stage. Adapt targeting, creative, and budget pacing to local buying behavior, currencies, and compliance requirements (GDPR and beyond).

  • Align spend to sales opportunity: Partner with EMEA sales leadership to make sure budget allocation tracks where the actual pipeline opportunity is by market and segment, not just where measurement is easiest.

  • Build the attribution story: Own how paid social spend connects to pipeline and revenue by market and channel. Bring your own point of view on what's working, backed by data, not just activity metrics like CTR and CPL.

  • Test and systematize: Run structured experiments across creative, audiences, and channels, and turn what works into repeatable playbooks the rest of the team can use.

  • Flex into adjacent demand gen: Support EMEA-specific ABM, landing pages, and email work as needs come up, in partnership with the broader demand gen team.

Your background looks something like this

  • 5+ years in performance marketing with a clear specialization in paid social (LinkedIn, Meta, Reddit, TikTok, or similar) rather than search.

  • Managed paid social budgets at meaningful scale (six-figure+ monthly spend) and can speak to how you allocated across campaigns, audiences, and markets.

  • Have run or scaled paid social programs in EMEA specifically—different currencies, buying behaviors, compliance considerations (GDPR, etc.), and local nuances in creative and targeting.

  • Analytical and comfortable owning your own attribution story: connecting spend by market/channel to pipeline and revenue, not just CTR and CPL.

  • Used to working cross-functionally with regional sales teams to align spend with where the pipeline opportunity actually is.

  • Can flex beyond paid social into adjacent demand gen work (ABM, landing pages, email) when EMEA-specific needs call for it.

  • Thrive in a fast-paced startup environment, where you're expected to take ownership, move quickly, and learn as you go.

Even better if you have

  • Have experience with Clay or similar audience-building tools and are comfortable building and iterating on paid audiences

  • Have stood up a paid social program in a new region from scratch (rather than inheriting one already built).

  • Speak a European language relevant to key EMEA markets (UK, DACH, France, Benelux, Nordics).

  • Bring point of view on emerging paid social channels or formats worth testing in EMEA.

What you need to know about the San Francisco Tech Scene

San Francisco and the surrounding Bay Area attracts more startup funding than any other region in the world. Home to Stanford University and UC Berkeley, leading VC firms and several of the world’s most valuable companies, the Bay Area is the place to go for anyone looking to make it big in the tech industry. That said, San Francisco has a lot to offer beyond technology thanks to a thriving art and music scene, excellent food and a short drive to several of the country’s most beautiful recreational areas.

Key Facts About San Francisco Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 365,500; 13.9% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Google, Apple, Salesforce, Meta
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, fintech, consumer technology, software
  • Funding Landscape: $50.5 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, Bessemer Venture Partners, Greylock Partners, Khosla Ventures, Kleiner Perkins
  • Research Centers and Universities: Stanford University; University of California, Berkeley; University of San Francisco; Santa Clara University; Ames Research Center; Center for AI Safety; California Institute for Regenerative Medicine
