About the role:

GoodRx is seeking a pharmacy editor to help create compelling, consumer-friendly content that informs and supports healthcare decision-making. In this role, you’ll research, write, and edit content across a wide range of topics for GoodRx Health, translating complex clinical information into clear, accessible language for a lay audience.

We’re looking for a pharmacist with strong written and verbal communications skills who can draw on both real-world experience and current scientific evidence. You’ll be responsible for turning clinical insights into engaging, accurate, and easy-to-understand content that meets high editorial and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, onboard, and manage a team of freelance pharmacist writers and reviewers
  • Write, edit, and review consumer-friendly drug and health content for clinical accuracy, clarity, and tone
  • Translate complex clinical information into engaging and easy-to-understand content for a lay audience
  • Ensure content aligns with GoodRx editorial standards, style guidelines, and SEO best practices
  • Stay up to date on clinical guidelines, new drug approvals, and emerging healthcare trends
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with SEO, product, and marketing teams to support content initiatives, including serving as a clinical expert and reviewer for social, marketing, and video content
  • Review and update existing content to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and relevance
  • Support content requests tied to business priorities, including new drug launches
  • Engage with pharmacy students conducting their APPEs with other GoodRx pharmacists, with the opportunity to precept students

Skill and qualifications:

  • PharmD or equivalent pharmacy degree required; active pharmacist licensed preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in pharmacy practice, medical writing, editing, or related field
  • Experience writing or editing drug or patient education content preferred
  • Experience working with freelance writers or cross-functional teams is a plus
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices and digital content strategy is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex clinical information into clear, consumer-friendly content
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply clinical guidelines, prescribing information, and primary literature
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in health and drug information
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work independently

Application Process:

Along with your CV/resume, please include clips of your prior patient-facing health writing. In lieu of clips, you can also submit a sample of your writing (200-400 words) on a clinical topic aimed at a lay audience. Suggested topic: "What is aspirin and how does it work?" Be sure to write at a 6th-grade reading level.
