What You'll Do:
- Collaborate with the Photo Creative Director, Art Directors, Stylists, Pet Wranglers and Project Managers to capture compelling product and pet lifestyle photography that meets creative briefs and brand standards.
- Execute photography assignments from pre-production through final capture while communicating project status and proactively escalating technical or production challenges.
- Plan and execute studio lighting setups for product and lifestyle photography, supporting both in-studio and location shoots as needed.
- Assist with technical scouts and collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure successful shoot execution.
- Partner with on-set and off-set teams to deliver projects on schedule while maintaining high standards for image quality and consistency.
- Support the maintenance, organization, and care of photography equipment, cameras, lighting, and related studio gear.
- Continuously develop technical photography skills by staying current with industry trends, emerging technology, and best practices in product and pet photography.
What You'll Need:
- Minimum 3+ years of experience, preferably within a commercial or eCommerce studio environment.
- A strong portfolio showcasing experience with product photography, lifestyle photography, and studio lighting techniques.
- Experience in operating DSLR cameras, studio strobe lighting, and Capture One software.
- Strong understanding of lighting, composition, exposure, color management, and color consistency throughout the photography workflow.
- A creative eye to translate concepts into visually compelling imagery while maintaining established brand standards.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and take creative direction.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment.
- Proficiency with software applications commonly used in a creative studio.
- Physical capability to lift and maneuver photography equipment and work comfortably from a variety of shooting positions, including ground-level perspectives.
- Passion for working with animals and an understanding of animal behavior to help capture authentic, engaging imagery.
- Ability to work in an environment with all pet types.
- Position may require 10% travel.
- Flexibility to support changing production schedules as business needs require.
