The summary above was generated by AI

PIM Architect:

High Level requirements for the Role

  • Lead remediation efforts for the existing Product Information Management (PIM) system, identifying gaps and driving sustainable improvements.
  • Provide technical thought leadership across teams, shaping strategy and guiding architectural decisions for PIM modernization.
  • Spearhead the migration to a scalable, next-generation PIM platform, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical feasibility.
  • Collaborate and negotiate effectively with cross-functional product teams to balance priorities, resolve conflicts, and drive consensus.
Design and document robust architectural blueprints that support scalability, performance, and long-term maintainability.
  • Advocate for cloud-native best practices; while Azure is preferred, experience with any major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, etc.) is welcome.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends in PIM, data governance, and cloud architecture to inform strategic direction and innovation.
  • Exposure to any PIM systems such as InRiver is desirable

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and remediate the existing PIM system, identifying functional and technical gaps.
  • Lead the selection and recommendation of a best-fit PIM solution from the market, considering platforms like InRiver, STIBO, Riversand, Akeneo, etc.
  • Architect and drive the migration to a next-generation PIM platform aligned with scalability, performance, and integration needs.
  • Develop and maintain architectural blueprints, solution documents, and technical roadmaps.
  • Act as a technical thought leader, influencing cloud and data strategies across cross-functional teams.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and engineering teams to align architecture with business objectives.
  • Promote and apply cloud-native practices with a preference for Azure but openness to AWS or GCP.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends in PIM, MDM, data governance, and cloud ecosystems.
  • Provide hands-on support for development, deployment, and integration of the PIM solution.
  • Foster collaboration, resolve technical conflicts, and drive delivery in a fast-paced environment.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 8+ years of experience in cloud architecture and solution design, preferably on Microsoft Azure.
  • Proven experience in PIM tool evaluation, implementation, and modernization—ideally with platforms like InRiver, STIBO, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, integration, and governance in a multi-brand, multi-market, multi-language context.
  • Hands-on development experience with modern technologies including:
    • Programming: Java, JavaScript
    • Data: SQL, XML, normalized databases
    • Web services: REST, SOAP
    • Platforms: Linux, containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience leading large-scale PIM or MDM projects from conception to delivery.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with ability to mentor teams and engage stakeholders.
  • Experience working in agile, cross-functional, and distributed teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
  • Experience in digital commerce or product distribution platforms.
  • Familiarity with data integration tools, ETL pipelines, and PIM APIs.
  • Exposure to DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Strong customer-facing experience and the ability to bridge business and technical requirements.

Compensation, Benefits and Duration

Minimum Compensation: USD 52,000
Maximum Compensation: USD 182,000
Compensation is based on actual experience and qualifications of the candidate. The above is a reasonable and a good faith estimate for the role.
