On behalf of our client, Procom Services is searching for a Planner for a contract opportunity in Sunnyvale, CA.

Planner Job Details

We are seeking a Planner to work in the Supply Chain Operations department. This position reports to the Manager, Supply Chain Operations.
The Planner’s primary function includes owning end to end supply chain planning to meet customer service level and cost objectives such as inventory management, freight and scheduling optimization. They will also be responsible for maintaining good on-time delivery to customer while reducing financial risk exposure. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Plan, schedule and monitor of the movement of product from customer order through delivery and shipment.
• Perform and maintain forecast through databases, SAP, COSMO and BI (Business Intelligence, FEA’s Forecast system). Input orders and data into SAP for data management and order tracking. Enter forecast into SAP per customer forecast and sales directions. Review and manage monthly/weekly MRP demand in SAP. Enter Sales orders and Purchase Orders into SAP upon review of customer orders and forecasts.
• Provide customer support and services to existing accounts
• Develop with input from Sales, inventory strategies, product customization, and new product introduction and product phase-outs plans. 
• Work with Sales team to determine risk buys, inventory commitment and underwriting strategies to minimize inventory risk exposure. 
• Demand planning based on customer forecast and purchase orders. Demand planning by customer and by product based on material and delivery lead time. 
• Perform customer-centric value chain planning to improve customer service levels while reducing costs, thus positively impacting growth and profitability.
• Process customer’s Web portal requests and download into Excel and/or SAP.
• Plans forecasts and schedules material needs according to production schedules and lead times.
• Monitor materials/good movement to determine if inventory needs to be increased or decreased to meet customer’s production needs. 
• Track/Monitor and Expedite PO with backlog review or customers’ pull in requests and ensure that delivery schedules are met in a timely manner and communicated to customers and internal sales department.
• Process MRA and ship customer’s return parts to suppliers for failure analysis.
• Collaborate with Accounting for invoice or payment discrepancies.
• Collaborate with Logistics and Warehouse for materials receipt in a timely manner.
• Conduct root cause corrective action analysis on planning exceptions. Identify gaps and issues and work with stakeholders to resolve all issues. 
• Work with warehouse personnel to assure shipments to customers are made in a timely manner and to customer specifications. Interface with Sales and Logistics/Warehouse to schedule shipments to meet customer requests.
• Interface with counterparts in Japan for on time deliveries; problem solving. Work with a variety of internal departments within company in Japan as well as domestic offices as well as external customers, contacts, partners. 

Planner Mandatory Skills

• BA/BS Degree or its equivalent in one of these areas – Business, Economics, Engineering, etc.; 
• A minimum of 7 years’ experience in supply planning, supply chain management function. 
• Experience with supply chain functionality and a good understanding of forecasting 
• Strong Analytical skill in identifying demand & Supply trends, seasonality impact and promotional impact 
• Very good understanding of MRP 
• High proficiency with MS Office products; Strong working knowledge of MS Excel
• Experience with an ERP system. Knowledge of SAP is highly desirable.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to work with individuals, team and management as well as executing project autonomously. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with customers, teammates, and internal clients.
• Organizational skills and able to prioritize tasks and activities.
• Must be a collaborative, self-motivated, entrepreneurial, innovative, analytical, process-oriented, problem solver and teammate. 
• Able to work well under pressure, meet multiple and sometimes competing deadlines, and demonstrate cooperative collaboration with colleagues, teammates and management.
