The Engineering, Enablement & Operations (EE&O) team enables the Microsoft Commercial Business (MCB) to better serve every person and organization’s transformation and economic success. We do this by designing and managing the strategies, tools, and systems that drive commercial excellence across compensation, performance insights, planning, skilling, and sales tools.


The EE&O Strategy and Operations team plays an important role in empowering the Commercial Business to serve customers more effectively by activating and transforming our commercial revenue engine. Roles within our organization are designed for individuals who enjoy solving complex business challenges and improving how work is delivered at scale.


The Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions (MCAPS) EE&O Strategy and Operations team is seeking a Planning RoB & Operations Lead to lead MCAPS Commercial Planning operations, including the weekly Rhythm of Business (RoB), executive planning calendar, and annual MCAPS Planning Summit. This role partners closely with planning pillar leads, planning workload leads, and organizational leaders to drive alignment across planning activities. The role combines program management, event execution, and executive communications, while advancing AI-enabled ways of working that support efficient, predictable, and transparent planning processes.

Responsibilities
  • Design and govern the annual MCAPS Planning Rhythm of Business (RoB), incorporating stakeholder input and prior-year insights.
  • Define and maintain planning structures, stakeholder roles, governance processes, and operating rhythms.
  • Drive alignment across planning pillars, business leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Lead planning kickoffs, recurring RoB sessions, and planning communications.
  • Facilitate weekly planning reviews, coordinating agendas, content development, decisions, and follow-up actions.Own planning documentation, communications, action tracking, and operational execution.
  • Manage the annual planning calendar, ensuring sequencing, readiness, and alignment for executive reviews.
  • Analyze planning and executive engagement patterns to inform calendar strategies, review cadences, and governance improvements.
  • Lead the annual MCAPS Planning Summit, including budget management, logistics, attendee experience, agenda development, and communications.
  • Build partnerships across planning teams, executive assistants, and business stakeholders while advancing AI-enabled efficiencies, consistency, and scalability.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, or related field AND 6+ years experience in business consulting, sales, sales operations, information technology (IT), account management, business development, marketing, IT field sales, or a related field
    • OR equivalent experience
  • 6+ years experience in Near Term Strategy (2 years out), Management Consulting, or Finance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading complex programs, projects, operating rhythms, or events from planning through execution.
  • Experience partnering with senior leaders and managing executive communications, calendars, and priorities.
  • Experience working across large, matrixed organizations to coordinate stakeholders and drive alignment.
  • Well-developed organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, adapt to changing business needs, and proactively move work forward.

Sales Strategy Enablement IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $251,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $272,300 per year.
