You will manage client accounts end-to-end—from identifying compelling angles and building targeted media lists to pitching journalists and securing high-quality coverage.
You will work closely with experienced journalists and content professionals, allowing you to focus primarily on media strategy, storytelling, pitching, and relationship building.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage PR client accounts from strategy through execution.
- Identify newsworthy stories and compelling media angles from company updates, product launches, industry developments, and market trends.
- Develop targeted media lists relevant to each client's industry and objectives.
- Create and execute effective media outreach and pitching strategies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, reporters, and relevant media contacts.
- Secure high-quality **earned media coverage**, with a focus on reputable and tier-1 publications.
- Work closely with founders, executives, journalists, and internal teams to develop strong narratives.
- Monitor relevant news and industry trends to identify timely PR opportunities.
- Track PR outcomes and connect media coverage to broader business, brand, and pipeline objectives.
- Manage multiple client accounts and campaigns while maintaining strong communication and execution standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in Public Relations, Media Relations, or Communications, preferably within B2B technology.
- Demonstrated track record of securing earned media coverage in reputable publications.
- Strong understanding of how journalists and editors evaluate pitches and stories.
- Existing journalist/media relationships or a demonstrated ability to develop relationships quickly.
- Excellent ability to identify compelling stories and angles from technical or seemingly routine company information.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage client relationships independently and PR campaigns from start to finish.
- Results-oriented mindset with a focus on the quality and business impact of media coverage.
Preferred Industry Experience
Experience securing media coverage within one or more of the following sectors is highly preferred:
FinTech | B2B SaaS | HealthTech | HR Tech | DevOps | Artificial Intelligence (AI) | Cybersecurity
What Success Looks Like
Success in this role is not simply measured by the number of press mentions. We are looking for someone who can consistently secure credible, relevant media coverage that strengthens client positioning and contributes to business and pipeline objectives.
If you know how to find the story, build journalist relationships, create pitches editors actually want to read, and turn those efforts into meaningful earned coverage, we'd like to hear from you.
