Principal Analog Application Engineer for Custom / Electromagnetic flows

Customer-facing principal engineer supporting RFIC, RF module and multichip module designers. Advise on heterogeneous integration, EM and thermal analysis, parasitic extraction and Cadence custom tool flows; deliver trainings, demos, evaluations, and collaborate with sales, engineering and marketing to drive solutions.

Responsibilities include:
- Working closely with our customers who are focused on heterogeneously integrated solutions. Focus is on RFIC, RF module and multichip module design space.
- Helping customers adopt and proliferate our systems solutions including heterogeneous integration and electromagnetic and thermal analysis
- Consulting with customers to understand their flow requirements and creating solutions that best meet their needs
- Conducting technical presentations, technical training, and product demonstrations, including development of customized presentations
- Supporting technical evaluations and benchmarks
- Collaborating with Sales Management to identify and prioritize opportunities, and to assist in developing winning sales strategies
- Working with Cadence Engineering and Marketing to communicate requirements and drive resolution of issues
Required Experience/Skills:
- BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of practical experience with Cadence custom schematic and layout tools is required
- Must possess a working knowledge of electromagnetic solvers and analog simulation
- CAD experience in setting up Cadence tools is desirable
- Experience in parasitic extraction flows is a plus
- Strong problem-solving, communication, organizational, planning, and presentation skills are essential
- Ability to work independently and productively in a fast paced and dynamic environment
The annual salary range for California is $123,200 to $228,800. You may also be eligible to receive incentive compensation: bonus, equity, and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the salary range is a guideline and compensation may vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
