The Principal, Capability Evaluation & Workforce Transformation will help shape Micron's enterprise approach to capability intelligence and workforce transformation. This role will develop scalable standards, frameworks, insights, and adoption practices that help teams make clearer decisions across workforce planning, candidate evaluation, talent development, mobility, and business transformation.
Responsibilities:
  • Create and maintain enterprise standards for capability evaluation and workforce capability intelligence.
  • Define consistent criteria for assessing capability, proficiency, experience, adaptability, and business impact.
  • Turn workforce transformation strategy into practical operating models, adoption plans, and governance practices.
  • Partner with business leaders and teams across Talent Acquisition, Learning, Organizational Efficiency, Workforce Strategy, and transformation to embed capability insights into workforce decisions.
  • Develop structured approaches for candidate evaluation, talent development, mobility, career growth, and workforce planning.
  • Use capability insights to help leaders identify gaps, guide investments, and improve workforce readiness.
  • Support adoption through stakeholder engagement, communication, education, and change management.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience leading workforce strategy, talent transformation, organizational efficiency, learning, workforce planning, or related capability programs.
  • Experience developing frameworks, standards, governance models, or decision practices across functions or business groups.
  • Ability to translate business strategy into scalable operational frameworks, implementation plans, and measurable workforce outcomes.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, stakeholder engagement, and change management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Business, Workforce Analytics, or a related field.
  • Experience building or implementing skills, capability, proficiency, or workforce intelligence frameworks at scale.
  • Experience designing structured evaluation models, evidence-based assessment practices, or talent decision frameworks.
  • Experience using workforce analytics, talent intelligence, or capability data to support planning and leadership decisions.
  • Experience working in a global, matrixed, technology, manufacturing, or semiconductor environment.

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:
$116,000.00 - $210,000.00 a year
Additional compensation may include benefits, bonuses and equity.
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base pay for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training.
