Overview

The next generation of cloud and AI innovation depends on getting the right computing capacity to customers when and where they need it. Azure is transforming that experience for enterprise customers and fast-growing AI teams, moving from complex, reactive processes toward a simpler, more predictable, and scalable way to plan and deliver capacity. You will join a small transformation team that tackles the hardest cross-functional challenges, tests new approaches, and turns what works into lasting capabilities used across Azure. The decisions shaped by this role will affect customers worldwide and drive significant business outcomes, making this an opportunity for a leader prepared to operate at exceptional scale and accountability.

As a Principal Customer Experience Program Manager, you will lead high-impact programs that improve how Azure understands customer demand, makes capacity decisions, and delivers computing resources worldwide. You will work with engineering, product, finance, and operations leaders to uncover friction, translate customer and business needs into clear requirements, and make recommendations that shape revenue impact and the experience of customers across global markets. You will be successful when customers and internal teams can make faster, higher-quality decisions, navigate fewer handoffs, and rely on more consistent ways of working at Azure scale.

This opportunity will allow you to:

  • Shape how one of the world’s largest clouds plans and delivers capacity for enterprise and AI growth, with decisions that influence revenue and customers worldwide.

  • Build deep expertise in cloud capacity, customer demand, product development, finance, and large-scale operations.

  • Grow your influence by turning ambiguous, cross-functional problems into clear decisions, scalable solutions, and measurable customer improvements.

Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.

Responsibilities
  • Identify the moments that create delay, confusion, or unnecessary effort for customers and internal teams, then define clear opportunities to improve them.
  • Lead cross-functional programs with engineering, product, finance, capacity management, and operations teams, aligning goals, decisions, owners, and measures of success.

  • Translate global customer demand, business priorities, and operational data into requirements and executive recommendations, making high-stakes tradeoffs that protect customer outcomes and advance business performance.

  • Design and launch process, automation, reporting, and workflow improvements that reduce manual work and help teams make faster, better-informed decisions.

  • Establish clear decision paths, approval points, and accountability for choices with worldwide customer and revenue implications, enabling complex programs to move consistently from idea to implementation.

  • Test new approaches in real operating environments, learn from results, and transition successful solutions to the teams that will run and improve them over time.

  • Share reusable practices and insights that help Azure teams improve the capacity experience for enterprise customers and fast-growing AI teams.
