To drive this growth, the Performance Computing Power (PCP) division seeks an experienced Customer Technical Lead to shape the next generation of datacenter products.

Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for driving innovation delivering best in class solutions addressing power efficiency and density challenges for datacenter products serving the most critical AI customers.  You will work directly with customers defining roadmaps aligned with their platform guided by compelling system level outcomes ensuring Renesas remains dominant in this space. You will engage cross functionally with a diverse team including marketing, design, packaging, and applications engineering teams to turn good ideas into reality.  

Responsibilities

  • Interface with customer systems engineers to understand big-scope perspective on challenges and value drivers. 
  • Analyze various VR approaches to determine how they fit in the big picture from a customers point of view. 
  • Build critical collateral to evangelize proposals and support customer engagement. 
  • Prepare executive summary level material to drive high level discussions with Sr Leaders and key customers. 
  • Directly support top-tier customer engagements to gain consensus on proposals and help drive them to revenue. 
  • Maintain key customer relationships to enable early market visibility. 
  • Work with Renesas functional teams to find best path to customer delight. 
  • Support design, FW, and SW teams during execution with clarification or necessary compromise. 

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of multi-disciplinary experience in semiconductor industry 
  • Understanding of general power architecture and product types related to CPU’s and other high current ASIC’s 
  • Experience with multiphase VR’s or other datacenter related power products 
  • Comprehension of topics including magnetics design, passive component selection, power device driver challenges, and real-world implementation challenges  
  • Experience with embedded SoC’s including cross-functional collaboration with HW/FW/SW teams 
  • Excellent technical and executive communication skills.  
  • Experience with high level modeling tools like SIMPLIS is a plus 

Education

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree or higher in power engineering preferred  

Additional Information

The expected annual pay range for this position is $180,000-$225,000. This position is also eligible for bonus opportunities. Please note that the final offer amount will depend on the candidate's geographic location, relevant experience, and skill set.
