Role Overview

We are looking for a strategic thinker and exceptional operator who is passionate about technology and cloud computing. This individual will partner with business leaders to influence investment decisions, evaluate growth opportunities, improve operational performance, and drive financial excellence. Success in this role requires both executive-level strategic thinking and deep attention to operational detail, with a genuine curiosity for the economics, technologies, and business drivers shaping the future of cloud and AI.

This role is well-suited for candidates from investment banking, leading technology companies, management consulting, corporate finance, or high-growth technology startups who have demonstrated strong business judgment, ownership, attention to detail, and execution discipline.

Candidates should possess a strong interest in cloud computing, AI, and cloud infrastructure. Experience supporting cloud, infrastructure, platform, SaaS, data center, AI, or other technology businesses is highly valued.

What You Will Do

Strategy

• Partner with business and engineering leaders on investment decisions, resource allocation, and cloud strategy.
• Evaluate TCO, ROI, build-versus-buy decisions, and other strategic initiatives.
• Develop financial models and business cases to support growth and long-term planning.

Operational Excellence

• Lead forecasting, budgeting, planning, and business reviews.
• Drive forecast accuracy through deep analysis of business and cloud cost drivers.
• Improve financial processes, reporting automation, and operating rhythms to drive scalability and execution excellence.

Technology & Analytics

• Analyze cloud infrastructure and AWS KPIs to identify optimization opportunities.
• Drive insights on CPU, memory, GPU, storage, and capacity utilization to maximize efficiency and returns.
• Translate technical and operational metrics into actionable financial recommendations.
• Develop dashboards and analytical frameworks to improve visibility into cloud economics and business performance.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Business, or a related quantitative field. MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in investment banking, strategic finance, FP&A, corporate development, management consulting, business operations, or related analytical roles.
• Demonstrated experience driving both strategic decision-making and operational execution in a complex, fast-paced environment.
• Strong financial modeling, forecasting, business planning, and quantitative analysis skills.
• Experience translating large, complex datasets into actionable business recommendations and executive-level insights.
• Proven track record of managing recurring business rhythms, operating reviews, planning cycles, forecasting processes, and performance reporting with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and cross-functional partners.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and data analytics tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in technology, cloud computing, SaaS, AI, infrastructure, data center, platform, or digital businesses.
• Background at a leading investment bank, top-tier consulting firm, major technology company, or high-growth startup.
• Strong understanding of cloud economics, infrastructure investments, technology business models, and scaling operations.
• Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments while maintaining strong operational discipline and attention to detail.
• Experience partnering with engineering, product, operations, and business leaders to support investment and resource allocation decisions.

Pay & Benefits

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. At Coupang, your base pay is one part of your total compensation. The base pay for this position ranges from $132,000/year in our lowest geographic market to $227,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
