The mission of the Foundation AI group is to enable Roblox Creators to accelerate their workflows and to put AI in the hands of millions of users through their creations. We envision a future in which experiences on Roblox leverage generative text and speech capabilities to enable new forms of interactions in their experiences and generative 3D capabilities to allow new ways to create on the platform.
We built our in house AI/ML Platform to provide a unified framework for all Roblox teams to accelerate the delivery of AI features to the community. This year we are launching AI APIs to our creator community so they can allow their players to use AI, this means our training and inference stack has to scale up to millions of DAUs. We need to continuously improve our API framework, our data tooling to enable use cases such as Retrieval Augmented Generation, Knowledge Graph and establish a robust evaluation framework to ship AI capabilities with high confidence.
As the Product Manager for the AI Platform team, you will advance this strategy and vision. Enabling Roblox creations to use AI to unlock new forms of in-experience interaction and creation and make every user a creator.
You will:
- Be the product DRI that leads the AI API strategy and roadmap to ship GenAI to millions of creators.
- Work on the bleeding edge of AI Infrastructure and lead the strategy to expose parts of our AI infrastructure to the Roblox Creator Community.
- Continuously build and improve core elements of our AI Platform - which includes an Inference and Training stack and the AI Data ecosystem.
- Understand the latest trends and technologies in the industry to provide the best, most creative platform to users.
- Develop the key workflows that will emerge as a result of shipping new AI generative products to our community.
- Communicate product needs and concepts to company partners and company executives.
You have:
- Formal degree in a technical field such as Machine Learning, Statistics or Computer Science.
- 6+ years of product management experience, ideally building AI platforms.
- Familiarity with core AI platform elements examples include Kubeflow, Pinecone, Langchain etc
- Experience managing large, technically complex engineering programs that may take years to execute
- A high degree of independent drive.

For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.
Annual Salary Range
$318,090—$368,230 USD
Roles that are based in our San Mateo, CA Headquarters are in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional in-office on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
