We’re on a mission to make financial health possible for anyone, and to do so, we’re building a new type of consumer finance company. As a Public Benefit Corporation, our mission drives everything we do.

This critical role drives the heartbeat of the Possible business. You’ll work in a small, fast-moving team where priorities shift with credit performance and the playbook is still being written. We’re looking for a seasoned, hands-on product leader with proven experience driving a consumer credit and access business forward, to own Possible's Cash Access product lines and partner effectively with our compliance, ops, bizops, data science, credit risk, design, and engineering teams. In this role, you’ll serve as the owner of:

  • Our best-in-class short-term loan, serving hundreds of thousands of customers as an alternative to payday loans that trap customers in the debt cycle

  • Our recently launched cash advance products, aiming to help address customers’ short-term access needs between paychecks

  • Experimentation into additional lending and access products as we strive to meet the needs of more customers

As owner of the Cash Access product suite, you’ll focus on helping our customers get and succeed with our products. You’ll run customer research and experiments, own the KPIs that drive the business (conversion rate, repayment rate, repeat rate, progression, retention, and CSAT), and contribute to decisions on where to optimize the trade-offs between approval rate, loss rate, and growth.

You’ll build and execute a lean roadmap for long-term success, including launches in new states and strategy for our flagship products, and regularly share strategy, results, and customer insights with Possible’s Leadership Team. You’ll partner with Engineering, Loan Operations and LMS counterparts, Legal & Compliance, Data Science, Risk, and Customer Operations, including on state-level audits, health checks, and bank partner reviews. Throughout, you’ll build lightweight ways of working that fit a small team, adding structure only where it helps us move faster.

What you’ll bring
You have 8+ years of hands-on product management experience in financial services or fintech, with a focus on consumer-facing payments experiences. Platform experience is a plus, but we care most that you used it to help customers succeed at repayment. Be ready to tell us what you built, changed, or fixed, and what improved as a result. You also understand consumer credit and have made product decisions where risk and credit decisioning tradeoffs were in play.

You thrive on small, lean teams where you own the work end to end, and you build the structure you need as you go. We back that ownership. We resource projects to the level they need, and we are always ready to run customer research. You are at ease with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment, ideally from experience at one or more start-ups or small teams. You are ready to roll up your sleeves and go deep with your team: setting the vision, charting the course, spotting cross-functional dependencies, and clearing obstacles so the team executes quickly.

You balance customer focus with technical and data skills, diving into critical systems while thinking broadly about strategy and the customer experience. You improve customer engagement and experience, including conversion, activation, repayment, and retention, through research and experimentation. You can turn customer insights into product features and communicate clear context and requirements to Engineers and Product Designers.

You take deep ownership and accountability for a product's failures and successes, and you solve problems calmly. You have a proven track record of working within industry regulations while delivering creative solutions, and you have a passion for serving customers and driving positive societal change.

Location
We are open to remote employment for candidates who commit to frequent travel to our downtown Seattle office.

Compensation

The salary range for this role is $202,300 to $238,000. We also offer significant stock options, comprehensive benefits, a bonus plan, commuter benefits, and an excellent office space with complimentary drinks and food options.

With the backing of our venture investors— Union Square Ventures, Canvas Ventures, Euclidean Capital, and Unlock Venture Partners — a dedicated following of hundreds of thousands of customers, and an extraordinary team, we are unwavering in our fight for financial fairness. As one of only a few FinTech Public Benefit Corporations, we’ve baked our dual dedication to building a profitable and socially impactful company into our charter; we only succeed when our customers do too. Give us a shout if you’d like to help us ship financial products that protect consumers from predatory lending practices and promote economic health.
