JOB DESCRIPTION

Principal Product Manager, Money Movement (Green Dot Corporation; Cincinnati, OH): Drive product strategy and execution throughout the Product lifecycle for key aspects of the Green Dot Payments Platform within the Money Movement team. Lead the holistic solution design, development, and growth effort for B2B and B2C opportunities related to Green Dot’s Payments Platform. Identify, define, and prioritize projects and features to increase the capability, performance, resiliency, and scalability of money movement features. Work closely with stakeholders and engineers to evolve and scale the payments platform by continuing to build out Green Dot Corporation’s microservices architecture using an API-first approach. Work closely with senior management and the rest of the Money Movement Product Team to formulate and execute the product roadmap to ensure revenue growth and cost/profit control. Promote the use of new technologies and identify industry-leading trends. Define project objectives for initial feature launches and ongoing evolution leveraging market research, reporting, and customer/partner feedback. Define business and technical requirements to meet the needs of internal and external stakeholders. Define and monitor product success metrics and key KPIs. Act as the subject matter expert for all requirements related to payments services including APIs, business rules, risk and other controls. Manage the delivery of continuous and effective services and ensure project completion is within budget and in accordance with contract requirements. Triage product defects and ensure proper ownership and delegation toward resolution. Manage compliance with all IT governance standards through approved tools, templates, policies, and procedures.

Telecommuting permitted in the U.S. pursuant to company policy.

Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Information Technology Management, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, plus five (5) years of experience in as a Principal Product Manager, Lead Product Manager, or related occupation.

Must have experience with the following:

  • Technology product management: REST APIs and microservices;

  • Engaging in technical discussions with engineers, understanding architecture details, and making informed tradeoff decisions;

  • Payments and money movement: Fintech, Banking, or Financial technology;

  • Industry working knowledge of payments and consumer financial services;

  • Implementing and supporting Automated Clearing House (ACH) (RDFI (Receiving Depository Financial Institution) and ODFI (Originating Depository Financial Institution));

  • Processing NACHA (National Automated Clearinghouse Association) file format;

  • Implementing and supporting instant payments (OCT (Original Credit Transactions), AFT (Account Funding Transactions), and Ecommerce);

  • Implementing and supporting payment rails with MasterCard Send, Visa Direct, or Fiserv;

  • Implementing RTP and FedNow;

  • Payment Processor knowledge (PIN Transaction Security (PTS) and First Data) and ISO 20022 messaging standards; and

  • B2C and B2B digital products.

Salary: $152,700 to $229,000 per year
