Make your impact within a rapidly growing Fintech Company

Join BILL as a Principal Product Manager on our Embed & Integrations team and own the products that connect BILL to the accounting systems our customers use to run their business. Every bill, payment, vendor, and expense that moves through BILL has to land correctly in the general ledger. That connection is why finance teams and accountants trust BILL, and it plays a big part in whether customers choose BILL and stay.

In this role, you will collaborate with the team to shape the strategy and multi-year roadmap for our Sync, Integrations, and App Center portfolio. This includes partnering on our existing integrations—drawing on your experience with two-way syncs for ERPs such as Oracle NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, and Blackbaud—as well as driving the development and launch of entirely new syncs; the APIs and file-based integrations that extend them; and the App Center, where customers find and connect partner apps. You will set direction across several product areas, build the business case for where BILL invests, and lead Engineering, Design, Analytics, GTM, and CX toward measurable results in adoption, sync reliability, retention, and revenue. This is a senior individual contributor role with the scope of a product leader. You will own the outcomes for an area of strategic importance to the company.

What you’ll do

Lead the product

  • Strategic Depth & Portfolio Ownership: Help drive the strategy for our integrations ecosystem, creating and executing multi-year roadmaps spanning several product areas. You will innovate new approaches that enhance customer satisfaction and drive significant business results (market share increase, revenue growth, customer acquisition.
  • Find and size new opportunities using customer research, usage data, and market and competitive insight, and turn them into funded business cases with Finance.
  • Set the goals, OKRs, and annual forecasts for the portfolio, define KPIs that ladder up to company objectives, and keep a clear record of results and lessons learned.
  • Lead discovery with customers, accountants, and partners so the team understands the problem before it commits to a solution.
  • Build a testing and experimentation roadmap that lets the business try bigger bets with confidence.
  • Lead cross-functional virtual teams across Engineering, Design, Research, Analytics, Product Marketing, Sales, and CX, and partner directly with leaders in other pillars wherever your work creates dependencies.
  • Drive execution from discovery through launch and iteration: manage dependencies and risks, negotiate trade-offs, and work with GTM, Sales, and CX on launch, enablement, and adoption.
  • Keep executives and stakeholders informed on opportunities, progress, risks, and decisions through clear written narratives and reviews. When something goes off plan, own it, explain what happened, and adjust.

Sync, Integrations, and the App Center

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and ecosystem partners to advance BILL’s deep ERP integrations—moving beyond baseline data synchronization to deeply partner with ERPs and automate advanced accounting workflows across AP, AR, and Spend & Expense.
  • Set the bar for sync reliability and customer effort using measures such as sync success rate, error rate, and CX contact rate, and lead the work that moves them.
  • Modernize how customers set up, connect, and manage integrations, including the move to one App Center experience for every customer.
  • Grow the App Center and partner ecosystem: decide which apps and next-generation ERPs to prioritize, how partners are vetted and launched, and how we measure connected organizations and their payment volume.
  • Shape BILL’s ERP and partner strategy, including when to build, partner, or embed, as ERP platforms change how they open and price access to their APIs.
  • Work with the Developer Platform and Embed teams on shared foundations such as APIs, OAuth, and partner onboarding, so integrations scale without one-off work.

We’d love to chat if you have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of related professional experience, a Master’s degree with 10+ years, a PhD with 8+ years, or equivalent experience, with a substantial part of it in product management.
  • Experience at Principal, Group, or Director level scope: owning a portfolio of related products or a strategically important area, and delivering multi-year roadmaps that span several product areas.
  • A track record of business results you can point to, such as revenue growth, market share, customer acquisition, or retention.
  • Strong product strategy skills, including funded business cases, financial modeling and forecasting with Finance, and use of customer, competitor, and market insight.
  • Data fluency: you set goals and forecasts, explain how KPIs drive the business, and use data and experiments to make portfolio decisions.
  • Proven cross-functional leadership without formal authority, including with senior leaders across functions and pillars.
  • Clear, concise written and verbal communication, including with executives.

Sync, Integrations, and ERP expertise

  • Deep expertise in integrations, APIs, and major ERPs and accounting systems such as Oracle NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations.
  • A strong understanding of accounting workflows (AP, AR, general ledger, reconciliation, and close) and of how data has to flow between a financial operations platform and the ledger.
  • Experience building or growing an app marketplace, App Center, or partner integration ecosystem, including partner selection, launch, and measurement.
  • Enough technical fluency to work with engineers on sync architecture, data mapping, API design, and reliability trade-offs.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience at an ERP, accounting software provider, or fintech that serves SMB and mid-market finance teams and accounting firms.
  • Experience with OAuth-based app ecosystems, iPaaS or file-based integrations, or AI and agent connectors.
  • Experience with ERP partner programs, co-marketing, or partnership commercial terms.
  • Hands-on use of AI tools in your own product work, and experience shipping AI-assisted experiences.
