The Principal Product Manager is a senior individual contributor responsible for defining and driving product strategy across complex, high-impact areas of Onit’s AI-native platform.
Operating with a portfolio-level mindset, this role owns major product domains or cross-product initiatives, translating company strategy into executable roadmaps that deliver measurable business and customer outcomes.
This leader partners closely with Engineering, Design, GTM, and executive stakeholders to shape the future of legal operations through AI, automation, and scalable enterprise solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Own strategy and roadmap for a major product area or cross-product initiative aligned to company and portfolio goals.
Translate company vision into clear product direction, identifying opportunities for differentiation, growth, and customer value.
- Drive multi-quarter to multi-year planning, balancing innovation, scalability, and customer needs.
Develop deep expertise in legal operations, enterprise SaaS, and AI-driven workflows.
Stay ahead of market trends (e.g., agentic AI, automation, legal workflow intelligence) and translate them into actionable product opportunities.
Influence product direction through competitive insights, customer research, and data analysis.
Lead end-to-end product lifecycle for complex initiatives—from discovery through delivery and iteration.
Define high-quality product requirements and ensure alignment across engineering, design, and stakeholders.
Establish prioritization frameworks that balance impact, feasibility, and strategic alignment.
Act as the connective tissue across Product, Engineering, Design, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success.
Drive alignment on product direction, tradeoffs, and delivery timelines across multiple teams.
Partner with GTM teams on positioning, packaging, and successful product launches.
Engage directly with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders to validate problems and solutions.
Define and own success metrics tied to business outcomes (e.g., adoption, retention, ARR growth, workflow efficiency).
Use data and insights to continuously refine product direction and prioritize investments.
Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams to shape scalable, extensible platform capabilities.
Contribute to decisions around AI/ML integration, data models, and system design tradeoffs.
Ensure solutions meet enterprise requirements for security, compliance, and performance.
Serve as a subject matter expert and internal thought leader in product and domain areas.
Influence executive stakeholders through clear communication of strategy, tradeoffs, and outcomes.
Elevate product management practices, mentoring other PMs and driving best practices across teams.

Required Skills:
8–10+ years of product management experience in B2B SaaS or enterprise technology.
Prior experience with case management or practice management software, legal operations concepts and use cases, legal technology.
Proven track record of owning and delivering complex, high-impact products or platforms.
Strong strategic thinking with the ability to connect product decisions to business outcomes.
Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive alignment without direct authority.
Deep experience in product discovery, roadmap planning, and agile execution.
Strong analytical skills with experience using data to drive prioritization and measure success.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience in legal tech, legal operations, or adjacent enterprise workflow domains.
Experience with AI/ML-powered products, automation, or data-driven platforms.
Familiarity with enterprise SaaS metrics, pricing/packaging, and customer lifecycle management.
Experience working across multiple product lines or platform ecosystems.
