This position used deep expertise in this field and provides insights and leadership as an individual technical contributor to promote new ideas and innovation when establishing processes and methods/techniques that drive best practices and engineering principles to a broader technical team in one of the specific engineering focuses mentioned below. This role includes the responsibility of mentoring and developing other R&D engineers as an industry leader with formal reporting line to an engineering team when needed.
Salary Range: $189,000 – 213,000 annually

- Lead assigned technical projects in catheter engineering group to drive value improvement, line extensions, and commercial compliance with quality systems and global regulatory requirements.
- Evaluate performance characteristics of new product designs and identify opportunities for new development or improvements based on customer feedback, technologies, and clinical needs.
- Through research, technical discussions, and interaction with SAB and R&D team members, conceptualize and/or prototype new product designs, add-ons, or enhancements
- Ensure products are designed to facilitate manufacturability addressing budget constraints, customer needs, and schedule requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or related discipline and a minimum of 12+ years of related experience driving innovation in the development of flexible medical device instruments; or equivalent combination of education and work experience in related regulated industry.
- Experience leading a technical cross-functional team through all phases of product development.
- Ability to be self-directed with minimal direction and supervision and take initiative to discern from multiple priorities when guiding a technical project team toward efficient solutions and opportunities; ability to multi-task efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Entrepreneurial spirit, a strong foundation in documentation and communications skills required.
Salary Range: $189,000 – 213,000 annually
