The Principal Technical Support Engineer analyzes user needs, provides guidance for software implementation, monitors system performance, resolves issues, and offers expert support. Requires extensive experience in software development and various technologies.
Zuora, Inc. seeks Principal Technical Support Engineer to:
- Analyze user needs and develop software solutions to deliver technical support and drive business outcomes.
- Deploy, test, and verify the proper functioning of Revenue software releases and fixes on a quarterly basis.
- Provide guidelines to customers and partner teams for successful Revenue system implementation.
- Train system users on operations, configuration, and month-end close processes.
- Monitor system operations and performance to identify potential issues and resolve them proactively.
- Troubleshoot revenue system issues, application malfunctions, and data errors, and resolve them efficiently.
- Prioritize and manage urgent escalations, resolving complex application/system design and development issues with agility.
- Own and drive technical issues related to software application/system design from inception to resolution, ensuring seamless delivery.
- Develop custom fixes to correct data corrupted by system errors, bad data, user mistakes, etc.
- Provide expert technical support, troubleshooting, and resolution of complex software system or application design and maintenance issues including, responding to customer inquiries or concerns and identifying, reproducing, and resolving bugs and technical problems.
- Offer solution advice and guidance within domain expertise, leveraging deep technical knowledge to drive business success.
Position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electronics Engineering, Information Technology or Systems, or a related field, followed by 7 years of progressively responsible experience as a Software Developer, or a related occupation.
Experience must include 7 years of experience with each of the following:
- Angular JS
- GitLab and Jenkins
- Oracle ERP
- RESTful API, SOAP Web Services
- SQL, PL/SQL
- Java
- Python
- Salesforce CPQ and Billing
- Java Script
- DJango Framework
- Building custom revenue recognition processes for customer solutions
Job Location: Foster City, CA, (Within the same MSA / Commuting distance of Redwood City, CA)
Rate of Pay: $174,637.00 - $247,200.00 per year.
