Description

WHO WE ARE

Come join the company at the center of how the world adopts AI securely. Cyera’s mission is to give enterprises the confidence to embrace AI safely — deciding exactly what it can see and do as it reaches deeper into the business. We started by solving the hardest problem in data security: finding and securing data faster and more precisely than anyone thought possible. That foundation is now the essential AI trust infrastructure for the Fortune 1000. We’re hiring mission-driven talent to put those leaders at the center of our story.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Cyera is seeking a Privacy Specialist to help us win and expand our privacy line of business. This is a technical, customer-facing go-to-market role that supports our sales organization. You will be the privacy expert in the room alongside our Account Executives and Sales Engineers, turning a prospect's privacy requirements into compelling, credible demonstrations, proofs of value, and RFP responses that help our sellers move deals forward. You will work in front of prospects and customers across the full suite of privacy capabilities, including data subject requests, data mapping, privacy assessments, risk management, and consent and preference management.

To be clear about what this is: a technical, external-facing role that supports our sales team, not an in-house privacy or compliance role. Your privacy expertise matters because it helps our sellers win. You will be equally comfortable presenting to executive privacy leaders and to hands-on technologists and operators, building tailored demos, and writing RFP responses that stand out. You will be a key player in how Cyera sells privacy, and your insight from the field will shape the product. We're an AI-forward team, and the strongest candidates will show us how they use AI to work smarter and how they'd help customers navigate the intersection of AI, privacy, and data security.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Field Engagement

  • Serve as the privacy subject matter expert for sales and solutions teams, joining discovery calls, demos, and executive briefings with prospects and customers.
  • Build and deliver tailored demos that connect Cyera's privacy capabilities to each customer's regulatory drivers, operating model, and existing use cases.
  • Lead proof of value engagements from scoping through customer readout, including success criteria, tenant and environment setup with the account team, and aligning product capabilities to customer use cases.
  • Own privacy responses to RFPs, RFIs, and related questionnaires, delivering accurate, consistent, and timely answers and coordinating input from internal teams.
  • Coach go-to-market (GTM) teams on privacy discovery and qualification, and help them pursue privacy opportunities across prospects and existing accounts.

Pre-Sales Support

  • Run the privacy demo request process, including intake, prep documentation, agendas, and engaging the right SMEs for each call.
  • Provide privacy-specific input to sellers and Revenue Operations so privacy opportunities are accurately scoped and recorded in our CRM.
  • Serve as the day-to-day point of contact on active pursuits, POVs, and RFPs.
  • Hand off cleanly to Customer Success and Implementation teams so customers move smoothly from sale to deployment.

Product and Technical Expertise

  • Act as a power user of the privacy products, with working knowledge of its modules, integrations, and configuration, so you can demo and troubleshoot with confidence.
  • Capture structured customer feedback, feature gaps, and win and loss insights, and relay them to the Product team to influence the roadmap.

GTM Enablement

  • Develop demo scripts, talk tracks, and recorded walkthroughs across the full suite of privacy capabilities.
  • Enable and certify technical teams to present privacy modules with confidence.
  • Work with Product Marketing to turn field learnings into positioning, collateral, and customer stories.

Privacy and Data Landscape

  • Translate regulatory and market developments (GDPR, US state laws, AI regulation) into clear positioning, sales plays, and customer guidance.
  • Help shape Cyera's point of view on how privacy, data security, and AI intersect.
Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 4+ years in a privacy-focused pre-sales, solutions engineering, privacy consulting, or technical privacy implementation role.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and deliver tailored product demos to technical and executive audiences, in person and virtually.
  • Strong working knowledge of privacy laws and frameworks (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and other US state laws), emerging frameworks around AI governance, and core privacy operations concepts such as DSRs, data mapping, RoPA, privacy impact assessments, and consent.
  • Exceptional written communication, with the ability to produce clear, accurate, and persuasive responses, proposals, and customer-ready documents.
  • Excellent presentation skills and the ability to translate technical capabilities into business value for privacy, legal, security, and data leaders.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent pursuits, deadlines, and stakeholders.
  • Experience in a high-growth B2B SaaS environment, working in or alongside Sales, Product, Marketing, and Customer Success.

Nice to have

  • Everyday AI fluency: you already use AI tools to sharpen research, call prep, drafting, and follow-up, and you enjoy sharing what works with teammates.
  • Curiosity about the AI opportunity: you can explain how AI adoption raises the stakes for privacy and data governance (assessments, data mapping, processing records) and turn that into a compelling conversation with customers.
  • Experience with privacy tooling where you have selected, implemented or operated these tools in-house or through consulting engagements.
  • Privacy certifications such as CIPP, CIPM, or CIPT.
  • Familiarity with data security concepts such as data discovery and data classification.

COMPENSATION INFORMATION:

Final compensation will vary based on seniority and relevance of experience, location, and position requirements.

This role may be eligible for potential merit increases based on factors such as individual or company performance, time in role, and other discretionary factors.

BENEFITS - Why Cyera?

  • Ability to work remotely, with office setup reimbursement
  • Competitive salary
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Paid holidays and sick time
  • Health, vision, and dental insurance
  • Life, short and long-term disability insurance
