Job Description

Are you passionate about working in new frontiers and start scouting for new supply chain partners and developing strategic sourcing maps to support one of our fast-growing regions?

Build a team for site procurement, expand the supply base, and establish a procurement system at LEGO Manufacturing Virginia (LVA) to support LEGO’s global strategy.


Core Responsibilities:
  • Establish the required organization and system to enable the buildup of procurement support capabilities for the needs and growth of LVA
  • Identify local sourcing opportunities and take steps to establish a new local supply base in the region
  • Develop and handle the procurement department including setting targets/critical metrics and supervising performance
  • Drive savings and revenue improvements in operation supplies
  • Lead strategic negotiation on long-term agreements with specific suppliers. Assemble and analyze data to resolve behavior patterns to find opportunities for productivity/cost improvement/savings
  • Responsible for compliance
  • Drive continuous improvement for procurement process
  • Environmental Policy and Health and Safety Policy is embedded and performed in daily work
  • Accomplish other tasks assigned by manager

  • Located in Virginia, this role requires leadership to help facilitate the development of our new LEGO Manufacturing Virginia Factory. This will be a challenging assignment and potentially a once in a career opportunity.
  • The ideal candidate would have proven mastery in procurement, planning, shown leadership skills and experience of working across cultures and geographies. Ideally the individual would have a curiosity to grow themselves and their new Team.
  • This role provides a unique developmental opportunity for the candidate to help build a new organization as well as building a brand-new Factory.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Preferably Supply Chain/Procurement, Commercial or financial background
  • Proven experience in Procurement from similar roles at the same level and scope within manufacturing companies
  • High degree of integrity, transparency and critical thinking
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Knowledgeable in policies, practices and industry trends, solid understanding of procurement/sourcing, business law, contracts, and contract negotiations principles
  • Good decision-making; uses analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment in making sound decisions
  • Aims to achieve /exceed goals; steadfastly pushes self and others for results
  • Ability to work in an organization undergoing a transformation journey
  • Good command of general software, Microsoft (word, excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc.)

Relocation will be provided

Travel Requirements:

  • The position will require 40-60% travel within the states in the first two years.  Some international travel will be required.

Compensation

The salary for this position has a range of $153,020.00 - $229,530.00 based on anticipated responsibilities, market benchmarks, and organizational constraints. The LEGO Group carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, including but not limited to prior experience, skills, expertise, location, internal equity, and other considerations permitted by law. The comprehensive remuneration details, inclusive of benefits, will be communicated upon finalisation of the employment offer.
