You will work closely with operations and engineering teams to understand equipment needs, evaluate options, negotiate with OEMs and dealers, and manage the equipment fleet commercially. This role covers equipment procurement across all stages of site activity. You will travel frequently to sites to assess needs, inspect equipment, and build relationships with site teams.
What You'll Do

  • Work with operations and engineering teams to define equipment requirements; evaluate OEM and dealer options against technical and commercial criteria

  • Negotiate pricing, warranty, parts and service terms, and end-of-life provisions with OEMs, dealers, and rental providers

  • Identify opportunities to standardize fleet composition across sites to reduce total cost of ownership and simplify maintenance

  • Manage supplier relationships for mobile equipment categories; monitor OEM and dealer performance and resolve commercial issues

  • Coordinate with logistics on equipment delivery, transport permitting, and mobilization to site

  • Travel frequently to operating and project sites to assess equipment needs, inspect assets, and support site teams

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain, business, or a related field; equivalent technical experience will be considered

  • 5-10 years of procurement experience in mobile equipment, fleet, or capital equipment categories in mining, construction, oil and gas, or a related industrial sector

  • Hands-on negotiation experience with OEMs and dealers; track record of securing favorable commercial terms

  • Technical familiarity with mobile mining or industrial equipment sufficient to evaluate options and engage credibly with operations teams

  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently to operating and project sites (25%-50%)

  • Comfortable operating with ambiguity and limited structure; takes ownership and figures it out

  • Proficient with software tools for contract tracking, fleet management, and reporting
