The Associate Director of Finance supporting the Raytheon Procurement Team offers a unique opportunity to help drive Raytheon’s transformation in response to the supply-constrained defense market. Raytheon’s customers need increased volumes of munitions and other defense products, creating a need for scale across Raytheon’s production ecosystem. Sitting at the intersection of procurement and Finance, the Associate Director of Procurement Finance will influence Raytheon’s Supply Chain input material negotiation strategies, business case development, strategic sourcing plans, capacity investment, and procurement, among others.

The Procurement Finance Associate Director is responsible for strategically driving the analytical and financial interface to the Supply Chain procurement team. This includes coordinating with SBU and Functional Finance stakeholders to align business operational and financial commitments, driving negotiation support including participation in strategic negotiations, business case development and deal analysis, material purchase variance tracking, and ad hoc functional support. This role will also manage indirect and pool budgets for the procurement team.

Success in this role requires strong executive communication skills, a proactive leadership style, top-notch analytical skills, the ability to influence cross‑functional stakeholders, and a mission-focused mindset. Successful candidates will have experience building high-performing teams while also being fully comfortable getting involved in the details and execution of critical processes.

What You Will Do

Responsibilities:

  • Provide Finance input to supplier negotiations, both in preparation process and through active negotiation participation

  • Value-add support for Supply Chain business case development

  • Coordinate across SBU and Functional Finance to drive alignment between procurement and Raytheon’s financial commitments

  • Develop robust processes for material PV tracking, CER pool management, KPI tracking, and Best Value Source Selection / Competition support

  • Conduct constraint analyses to support investment initiatives and improve material availability in Raytheon’s factories

  • Act as a catalyst for data‑driven decision making

  • Responsible for both direct, indirect CER pools

  • Capable of standing up a team and designing cross-functional, results-oriented business processes

  • Lead others in turning complex data into clear insights that drive action

  • Proactively drive financial performance including identifying key success enablers for Supply Chain and other down-stream functions

  • Comfortable supporting multiple workstreams in a fast‑paced environment with evolving priorities

  • Must be able to influence without authority and build consensus among executive-level stakeholders

  • Ability to solve complex problems and turn ambiguous or incomplete data into strategic actions

  • Must demonstrate a strong sense of initiative and personal drive, actively seeking opportunities to improve processes, strengthen supply chain performance, and support organizational transformation

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years experience.

  • Experience supporting supply chain, operations, or manufacturing environments

  • Ability to travel a significant portion of the time (>50%) to support critical initiatives

  • Experience with financial modeling, analytical, and quantitative skills

  • Executive communication experience, including executive-quality PowerPoint creation

  • Experience in Excel modeling

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required.  U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Higher education in Finance, business, or related field

  • Proven ability to create broad-based consensus through influential communication

  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred).

  • Exposure to analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, etc

The salary range for this role is 157,200 USD - 298,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
