Who we are About Stripe

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies - from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups - use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone's reach while doing the most important work of your career.

About the team

The Communications team builds and protects Stripe’s brand and influence across the world. Product Comms is a team of creative thinkers and entrepreneurial strategists tasked with deepening the understanding of Stripe’s products. We work closely with the Product, Marketing, Policy and wider Comms teams to produce imaginative and effective messaging and provide strategic counsel to our executive team that goes far beyond the bounds of traditional comms.

What you’ll do

This role is to lead global product communications for Stripe’s crypto offerings. You’ll work shoulder-to-shoulder with senior leaders and the teams building Stripe’s crypto products to shape the storytelling strategy around this new frontier of financial infrastructure.

Three important dimensions of this role include: (i) entrepreneurialism — you’ll work in uncharted territory, building a new comms muscle for Stripe. It’ll be up to you to identify and go after the best opportunities. (ii) superb writing and storytelling — you’ll bring your writing skills to bear on Stripe’s highest profile public moments, such as company letters, executive keynotes, and other long-form content. The vision for Stripe’s crypto products needs to come to life with your words. (iii) attention to detail — building in a new space requires a foundation of trust and legitimacy. You’ll work at an uncompromising quality bar where no detail is too small to matter.

Responsibilities
  • Lead global product communications for Stripe’s crypto products, including Bridge and Privy (crypto infrastructure companies acquired by Stripe in 2025).
  • Lead the development, articulation and testing of Stripe’s long-term public vision for its crypto products, specifically as a substrate for economic growth.
  • Design and roll out strategic campaigns that build awareness for Stripe’s crypto products and deepen key audiences’ understanding of exactly what makes stablecoins so useful to global businesses of all sizes.
  • Create and edit extremely high quality written materials for Stripe’s biggest moments, including newsroom posts, social content, industry keynotes, top tier media interviews and more.
  • Work with local and regional comms leads to raise awareness for Stripe globally.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with thought leaders and influencers.
  • Provide strategic counsel to our executive team, including Stripe’s founders and most senior product leaders, and collaborate closely with your counterparts on the partnerships, policy, and product marketing teams.
Who you are

We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

Minimum requirements
  • You’ve done exceptional work in your career to date and have the proof points to show for it (built a great product, ran a high-impact campaign, started your own business, or similar accomplishments).
  • You’re a superlative writer; someone who has been recognized by their peers as a truly exceptional writer, with a particular knack for making technically sophisticated topics interesting and memorable.
  • You have experience collaborating effectively with large, cross-functional teams as well as working with senior executives 1:1.
Preferred qualifications
  • You’ve worked in a technology, B2B and/or financial services or banking environment.
  • You’re passionate about the potential for (and real-world impact of) crypto.
  • You’re deeply immersed in the world of independent media—Substackers, podcasters, video makers, influencers on X. You might personally know some of the people shaping these conversations (or even be one yourself), but more importantly, you understand the culture, the discourse, and where the zeitgeist is heading next. You combine the best of what you’ve found online with your original ideas to create compelling stories and new insights.
