About Nclusion

Nclusion is on a mission to provide traditional financial services to 1.5 billion people worldwide without access today. Without a secure way to save, invest, or transfer money, individuals are not empowered to accumulate short or long-term wealth. We're changing that by bridging the gap between traditional banking and the communities that need it most.

About the Role

Nclusion is seeking an experienced Product Counsel to join our dynamic legal team. In this pivotal role, you will enable responsible product development and innovation. You will partner closely with product managers, engineers, and compliance stakeholders to identify, assess, and mitigate legal and regulatory risks associated with new and evolving products. You will provide legal advice on a wide range of issues relating to consumer protection, data privacy, financial regulations, intellectual property, and digital currencies. This position requires a proactive individual with exceptional organizational skills, capable of managing complex matters and projects across multiple jurisdictions.

This is an opportunity for a commercially minded attorney to operate as a true cross-functional partner in a fast-scaling, mission-driven fintech. You will help build the legal foundations for product development processes, deliver practical guidance to accelerate execution, and ensure our products are developed with regulatory and compliance considerations fully integrated.

What You’ll Do

  • Product & Engineering Partnership - Serve as the primary legal partner to Product and Engineering teams, providing day-to-day guidance on product initiatives, feature development and go-to-market strategies.
  • Legal & Regulatory Risk Advising - Advise on U.S. regulatory, compliance, and legal risks associated with new products, product enhancements, and customer-facing features—ensuring risks are identified early and addressed efficiently. Collaborate with other members of the legal team and outside advisors on foreign law issues impacting product design and deployment.
  • Shift-Left Legal Enablement - Integrate legal thinking into product development throughout the full product lifecycle by supporting requirements gathering, product design reviews, roadmap planning, and launch readiness.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration - Partner closely with Compliance, Operations, Business and other internal stakeholders to align on regulatory interpretation and product implementation approaches, with a focus on practical execution.
  • Commercial and Product Support - Support product-related legal work including drafting and negotiating vendor agreements, product-related terms, and other commercial documents as needed.
  • General Legal Support - Provide flexible legal support across emerging business needs tied to product development, including issue spotting, escalation management, and advising on novel regulatory questions.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Juris Doctor (JD) and active membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
  • 3+ years of relevant legal experience, ideally with exposure to financial services or fintech.
  • Strong experience advising on legal and regulatory issues tied to product development in regulated industries (financial services preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to work closely with product and engineering teams, translating legal requirements into practical guidance and clear decision frameworks.
  • Excellent communication skills and commercial instincts; comfortable navigating ambiguity and building scalable solutions in fast-moving environments.
