About the company
Our client is a software company.
The role
Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Lead the complete user-facing experience of a software platform, blending interface design with hands-on frontend development. Move an early working version toward a polished public release, making product judgment calls independently and partnering with the founder and the engineering group.
What you'll do
- Shape the whole user experience across every part of the product, from structure and flows through to the finished interface.
- Produce designs in Figma and turn them into production frontend code.
- Refine an existing beta version into a polished, release-ready product.
- Prioritize upcoming improvements using feedback gathered directly from early adopters.
- Set up the design system and frontend conventions that later hires will extend.
- Work alongside the engineers responsible for backend services and infrastructure.
Requirements
What we're looking for
- 6 to 10 years of experience in product design, frontend engineering or a mix of the two.
- Sound aesthetic and usability instincts, demonstrated in products you have released.
- Skill in both designing and building, including production-quality frontend development.
- A history of launching products that people actually use.
- Concrete evidence of high performance, for example a distinctive portfolio, entrepreneurial background or a fast-rising early-stage career.
- Confidence running a product from start to finish with little structure, guidance or surrounding design staff.
Bonus points
- Past experience as a founder who built a carefully crafted product.
- Time spent at an early-stage, design-focused technology company.
- A degree from a leading university or a similarly competitive credential.
- Background creating software for people who run businesses.
