About Persona

Persona is the configurable identity platform built for businesses in a digital-first world. Verifying individuals and organizations is harder — but more important — than ever, with AI enabling fraudsters to launch sophisticated accounts at scale and regulations evolving rapidly.

We’ve built Persona to support practically every use case and industry — that’s why we’re able to serve a wide range of leading companies. For example, Reddit relies on Persona for age assurance and verification to comply with online safety regulations, protecting younger users while maintaining a seamless experience. Meanwhile, OpenAI relies on Persona to keep bad actors out, protecting one of the world’s most powerful AI platforms from large-scale abuse in a time when AI is reshaping the way we work and live.

We’re growing rapidly and looking for exceptional people to join us!

About the Role

Identity lifecycle management and operations involve vast, diverse sets of complex and business-sensitive data. Our platform intricately weaves together digital information and physical assets, creating a rich tapestry that empowers our clients to make informed, business-critical decisions. We believe that exceptional design is not just an aesthetic choice but a strategic necessity that fosters trust and inspires confidence in our customers.

As a Product Designer for Data Products Pillar, you will be at the forefront of shaping how our customers interact with complex sets of data. Your role will involve driving a cohesive vision for how users verify, contextualize, enrich, and manage data across our platform. This is not just about creating beautiful interfaces; it’s about crafting intuitive experiences that make data accessible and actionable.

What you'll do at Persona

  • Design Stewardship: Lead the design process from ideation to execution, ensuring that our data products are user-friendly and visually compelling.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to align on product vision and deliver seamless user experiences.

  • User Research: Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights that inform design decisions, ensuring that our solutions meet the needs of builders.

  • Data Visualization: Create innovative ways to visualize complex data sets, making them easier to understand and interact with for our users.

  • Prototyping and Iteration: Develop prototypes and iterate on designs based on feedback and testing, maintaining a user-centered approach throughout the design process.

  • Strategic Thinking: Apply analytical systems thinking to tackle product complexity and contribute to the overall product strategy.

What you'll bring to Persona

  • Over 5 years of professional experience as a Product Designer, preferably in a tooling or data-centric environment.

  • Data-curious and technically inquisitive, instinctively digging into product data, flows, and artifacts to uncover patterns, edge cases, and opportunities for improvement

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating the ability to solve complex, end-to-end design challenges.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions clearly to stakeholders.

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs in a fast-paced environment.

Full-time Employee Benefits and Perks

For full-time employees (excluding internship and contractor opportunities), Persona offers a wide range of benefits, including medical, dental, and vision, 3% 401(k) contribution, unlimited PTO, quarterly mental health days, family planning benefits, professional development stipend, wellness benefits, among others. While we believe competitive compensation and benefits are a critical aspect of you deciding to join us, we do hope you consider why our core values and culture are right for you.
