The Role

You'll design intuitive, human-centered product experiences for our AI-powered platform, transforming intricate legal workflows and complex data into powerful, accessible interfaces. Working at the intersection of deep product thinking and modern AI tools, you'll help legal teams uncover critical evidence in high-stakes litigation and investigations.

This is a full-time, exempt position based in our Oakland, CA office with a hybrid work schedule: in office M/W/Th with the option to work from home on Tu/Fr.

What you'll do

  • Design thoughtful product experiences across our core platform and AI-powered capabilities, taking concepts from early discovery to high-fidelity prototypes, production specs, and launch.

  • Partner closely with Product Management, UX Research, and Engineering to clarify requirements, test hypotheses through research, and navigate practical tradeoffs.

  • Simplify sophisticated legal and technical workflows into convergent UI patterns while preserving the depth and power expert users rely on.

  • Embed AI tools (such as Cursor and Claude Design) into your daily design workflow to boost creative exploration, test ideas, and accelerate iteration.

  • Leverage and contribute to our design system, identifying opportunities to build new UI components as platform needs scale.

  • Earn your Everlaw product certification to master the platform and develop a deep understanding of user needs.

About You

  • You have 1+ years of product design experience, ideally working with product-driven teams on complex B2B SaaS applications.

  • You hold a portfolio that demonstrates strong product thinking, high-level skill crafting elegant interfaces, and an ability to bring clarity to complex problems.

  • You adopt AI capabilities thoughtfully into your design process, using them to move fast and explore ideas deeply.

  • You bring a healthy balance of speed, craft, and practical decision-making, delivering high-impact designs without getting bogged down in unnecessary complexity.

  • You operate comfortably with incomplete information, driven by curiosity to uncover context and move projects forward.

  • You are authorized to work in the United States without restrictions. Please note that at this time, Everlaw is not sponsoring F-1 visas, including OPT, for this role.

Bonus points

  • You hold a degree or advanced degree in graphic design, human-computer interaction, or a related field.

  • You have end-to-end design experience spanning early user research all the way to post-launch evaluation.

Think you're missing some of the skills and are hesitant to apply? We do not believe in the 'perfect' candidate and encourage you to apply if you feel you can bring value to our team. We often revisit candidates who may have applied for a different role if something comes up that's a better fit.

About Everlaw

When a lawsuit or investigation happens, teams must comb through vast amounts of electronic evidence — emails, documents, chats, files — to find what matters. That work is not a side task but the case itself, and where most of the time and money in litigation goes. Everlaw is the litigation and investigation management platform changing that, using AI to turn mountains of messy data into the handful of facts that win or lose a case, compressing weeks of work into hours.

We're the kind of place that's ranked #1 on G2 in our category and named a Great Place to Work™ by our own team. So if you want a front row seat to an industry in transformation, career-defining work you'll be proud to tell people about, and real upside at a company in control of its own destiny, we'd love to get to know you.
