About Us

We're living through a fundamental shift in how people discover, evaluate, and purchase products. The next generation doesn't respond to traditional marketing -- they build relationships with brands through authentic social interactions, seek recommendations from communities they trust, and expect personalized experiences that feel human, not corporate.

At Nectar Social, we're building the AI-native social operating system that enables this new era of commerce. We believe every social interaction should deepen the relationship between brands and their communities while creating genuine value for both sides.

Founded by ex-Meta product and engineering leaders, we've raised over $30M in total capital from investors including GV and True Ventures. We work with brands like Oura Health, Caraway, e.l.f. Cosmetics, Kosas, OLIPOP, and many more. We're building the future of social commerce -- where community, conversation, and commerce converge.

The Role

We're looking for a Staff Product Designer with exceptional craft to help define the design language of Nectar's platform. You'll own core product experiences and design workflows that help brands connect with their communities through AI-powered tools.

This is a high-autonomy role where you'll move quickly from concept to shipped product, collaborating closely with product and engineering to build thoughtful, intuitive experiences in an AI-native environment.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Own core end-to-end product experiences across Nectar's platform

  • Design intuitive workflows that help brands understand and act on social conversations using AI

  • Pioneer new design patterns for human-AI collaboration in social commerce tools

  • Conduct user research with social media managers and community teams to inform product decisions

  • Build and maintain design systems that scale across the product as the platform grows

  • Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and cross-functional teams to ship high-quality user experiences

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field

  • 5+ years of product design experience building modern software products

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design work from research through shipped products

  • Experience designing data-heavy interfaces such as dashboards, analytics tools, or workflow applications

  • Strong visual design and interaction design craft with attention to detail

  • Interest in AI-native product design and human-AI interaction patterns

  • Customer empathy and curiosity about how social media and community teams work

  • Comfort operating in fast-moving startup environments with ambiguity and rapid iteration

Bonus Points
  • Experience working in social media management, community platforms, or influencer marketing tools

  • Background in e-commerce platforms or conversion optimization products

  • Previous startup experience, particularly in AI, SaaS, or social technology

What We Offer
  • Competitive compensation and early equity

  • Health, vision, and dental benefits + 401(k) match

  • Clear career growth opportunities as the company scales

  • Free lunch in the heart of University Ave. in Palo Alto

  • Deep exposure to cutting-edge AI tooling and the opportunity to shape how brands use it

  • A collaborative, ambitious team defining a new category of AI-native marketing infrastructure
