About the role

We are looking for a Product Designer who is self-motivated, curious, and high-craft. Product designers at Envoy lead the user experience design of how employees and visitors interact with and manage their workplace. In this role, you will own key product areas within Envoy’s platform, while collaborating with other designers who lead adjacent surfaces. You’ll partner closely with cross-functional team members, including product managers, engineers, and customer success managers to frame the problem, define the product direction, and translate the complexity of the real world into thoughtful design solutions.

This is an on-site position that requires 4 days a week (Monday - Thursday) in our San Francisco HQ.

You will
  • Own the end-to-end design process, from user research and concept development to prototyping, and guiding implementation.

  • Gather problem context to inform and iterate on design solutions, ensuring what the team is building solves the right problem in the right way.

  • Consider and ship experiences across surfaces, including web, mobile, kiosk, and various integrations like Slack and Teams.

  • Partner with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to align on project goals, timelines, and deliverables. Act as a user experience advocate within cross-functional teams.

  • Contribute to and maintain Envoy’s design system, ensuring consistency and scalability across all products and touchpoints.

  • Use AI tools to bridge design and engineering, accelerating prototyping and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Explore emerging AI capabilities to improve internal workflows and enhance end-user product experiences.

  • Help nurture design practices and culture within the company.

You have
  • 8+ years of experience in product design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.

  • Experience designing for B2B SaaS, including various personas, pricing and packaging gates, and role-based access controls.

  • Experience conducting your own user research.

  • Ability to take complex real-world inputs and generate simple, intuitive design solutions.

  • Experience working in an agile development environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

  • Hands-on experience using AI tools (e.g., for prototyping, research synthesis, or design-to-code workflows) to increase speed and quality.

  • A strong point of view on how AI can enhance product experiences while balancing usability, clarity, and user trust.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and influence stakeholders.

  • Strong understanding of product design best practices.

  • Experience contributing to design systems and maintaining consistency across products

  • Expertise in design tools, including Figma.

  • A passion for creating user-friendly, visually appealing, and joyful experiences that drive business impact.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have
  • Expertise in designing for iOS and Android, utilizing platform-specific guidelines.

  • Experience building design system components in code or in close collaboration with engineering.

Your values
  • You ground your work in real user needs and problems. You ask "why" to understand whether past decisions still serve users or business requirements. You dig deep into problems before jumping to solutions, ensuring you're solving the right thing.

  • You take initiative in the face of ambiguity, using design and storytelling to drive projects forward and create clarity, even when details aren't perfectly clear.

  • You are someone with extremely high standards. You’re also practical and know that perfect is the enemy of the good, but you aspire for us to be great. You care deeply about the quality of our work and our team.

  • You’re able to clearly articulate the impact of decisions on the end user experience, while staying collaborative when working through constraints.

  • You know when to use the design system, when to break it, and when to evolve it.

  • You’re curious about how AI is reshaping design and have tinkered with various tools to improve your process. You want to be part of a team actively experimenting and sharing learnings to shape our design practice.

  • You’re a senior designer and leader, interested in opportunities to mentor other designers and shape our design culture.

Why Envoy
  • Your designs will be used by hundreds of thousands of employees and visitors at companies like Netflix, Disney, GitHub, and Nvidia.

  • You’ll own significant product areas and have real influence on what you build and how.

  • You’ll be part of a high-performing team, learning together.

  • Opportunities for professional growth and leadership.

  • We offer a comprehensive benefits package. Learn more about our benefits on our Careers page here.
