JOB OVERVIEW
The Product Education Specialist helps build training that Net Health employees and customers actually use. You’ll partner with teams across the company to design and develop learning solutions — delivered through instructor-led, virtual, and self-paced formats — that reflect Net Health’s mission and values.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Instructional Design
- Partner with stakeholders to create engaging content that maximizes learning impact.
- Help design content structures and learning methods for blended, e-learning, instructor-led, and virtual classroom solutions.
- Develop training materials across a variety of formats and delivery methods.
- Apply adult learning best practices to every training solution.
- Review and quality-check learning programs, and update them based on feedback.
- Assess design impact and recommend best-practice improvements.
- Set up and manage courses in the Net Health Learning Management System (LMS).
- Build eLearning modules, job aids, and instructional decks that support real product usage, not just feature awareness.
- Turn SME input into clear, structured instructional materials, storyboards, and video scripts that reduce time-to-value for new features.
- Adapt instructional design frameworks to the pace of product releases and the needs of adult, self-directed learners.
- Use product usage and adoption data to help identify where clients get stuck, and help design micro-learning videos, in-app guides, walkthroughs, and tooltips that close those gaps.
- Track guide and content performance (such as views, completion, and feature adoption) to prioritize what gets built next and demonstrate impact.
- Combine adoption data with learner feedback to keep learning materials current, treating them as a living system rather than a one-time deliverable.
- Stay current on trends in learning experience design, content strategy, and product adoption.
- Technical Documentation & Content
- Support the structure, taxonomy, and editorial quality of the knowledge base and in-app content library, including release notes, user guides, system requirements, and in-app messaging, so content is easy to find and organized around how users search for answers.
- Edit content from subject matter experts (SMEs) and other departments for consistent style, structure, and terminology, following the documentation intake process and setting clear expectations on turnaround time, format, and scope.
- Partner with product management and engineering to stay current on product changes and help translate technical requirements into documentation standards, implementation recommendations, and customer guidance.
- Interpret APIs, JSON, authentication protocols, and webhooks to document how integrations work.
- Document system integrations, data flows, and SaaS interoperability, and help evaluate API-based integrations to recommend documentation and content delivery best practices.
- Use documentation-as-code practices (version control, publishing workflows) to author and publish content and identify automation opportunities.
- Apply basic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to format and publish knowledge base and in-app content.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Required
- 1-3 years of experience in instructional design, covering all phases of the design life cycle.
- Experience developing and delivering classroom and virtual instructor-led training.
- Experience with eLearning development tools (such as Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, Lectora, and Articulate 360).
- Proficiency with MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, or equivalent tools.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Working knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, authentication protocols, and webhooks.
- Basic working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Ability to evaluate API-based integrations and recommend technical documentation and content delivery best practices.
- Understanding of system integrations, data flows, and interoperability between SaaS platforms.
- Knowledge of documentation-as-code, version control, publishing workflows, and content automation.
- Ability to translate technical requirements into documentation standards, implementation recommendations, and customer-facing guidance.
- Well-organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, geographically dispersed team and good judgment about when to seek guidance.
- Discretion with confidential information, including pre-release product details.
- Curious, coachable, and eager to grow, with a genuine interest in how products work and how people learn best.
- Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Education, Distance Learning, Human Performance Technology, or a related field.
- NICE TO HAVE
- Knowledge of ADDIE and SAM instructional design models.
- Experience with a Learning Management System (LMS).
- Familiarity with emerging content design techniques, such as gamification and social learning, as well as information architecture, and content strategy.
- Experience with product analytics or in-app guidance platforms (such as Pendo).
- Familiarity with documentation and knowledge base platforms (such as MadCap Flare or Salesforce Experience Cloud).
- SaaS experience and familiarity with SharePoint, Jira/Confluence, and SDLC methods (Waterfall, Kanban, Scrum).
