Build and ship product features across the full lifecycle using Next.js, TypeScript, Supabase, and PostgreSQL, directing AI coding agents and reviewing their work. Own user problems, specifications, UX, production quality, monitoring, debugging, infrastructure, tooling, and integrations. Collaborate directly with founders and engineers in a remote, async environment, participate in a business-hours on-call rotation, and deliver multiple reliable deployments each week.

RallyBoard · Remote (US) · Full-time · $75,000–$90,000 + equity

We're partnering with RallyBoard, a fast-growing, early-stage US startup on a mission to make professional growth more connected, collaborative, and human.

RallyBoard is a peer learning platform that helps professional associations turn once-a-year conferences into year-round communities, where members learn from each other, build meaningful relationships, and grow together.

A quick snapshot of the company:

  • Team: 8 full-time employees, fully remote across the US

  • Traction: ~$500K ARR, 3x growth in the last 12 months, targeting profitability in 2027

  • Funding: $2.4M seed round backed by leading US investors, including a mission-driven lead fund

  • Founders: Repeat founders who've built and scaled startups to $10M+ ARR and 100+ employees. The CTO has led teams building consumer products used by millions.

Agents write the code. You own what ships

Most of our code is written by AI coding agents (80%+ and rising). Our engineers spend their time on what agents can't do: understanding the user, writing the spec, breaking down the work, reviewing at the right level, and owning what ships. Every engineer is the technical product lead for their work.

If you already build this way every day, you'll be at home here. If AI is mostly autocomplete for you, this role will be a big jump.

What you'll do
  • Take features from the user problem to production on our stack (Next.js, TypeScript, Supabase/Postgres): write the spec, direct a team of agents to build it, and review their output for correctness, UX and craft

  • Stay with what you shipped after launch: watch logs, errors and how people actually use it, and fix what isn't right

  • Work directly with the founders and our engineering team: 80% tactical, 20% strategic

  • Scale our infrastructure, tooling, and integrations for the next stage of growth

  • Take your turn on our on-call rotation: one week at a time, business hours only

Must-haves
  • About a year inside a real engineering team (an apprenticeship, rotational program, contract seat or internship counts)

  • You use coding agents every day (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or similar) and you're critical of their output.

  • You've shipped something people actually used, at work or on your own, and can walk us through the decisions behind it.

  • Fast learner with a good attitude: you've taught yourself something new recently, and you stay constructive when things get messy.

  • Proof you build: a live product we can open, ideally something hard you built.

  • Strong written English and comfort working async.

  • Authorized to work in the US. We can't sponsor visas.

Nice-to-haves
  • Recently finished a big-tech apprenticeship, rotational program or contract seat.

  • Startup or early-stage experience.

  • Next.js, React, Supabase/PostgreSQL experience.

  • Hackathons, open source, or a side project with real users.

How we work
  • Judgment is the bar. Agents write most of our code, so quality comes from you: what to build, what to cut, whether the UX feels right, and speaking up when something technically works but isn't right.

  • Sustainable pace. About 40 hours a week, no weekends.

  • Async and written. We document decisions, call out mistakes, and fix them fast.

  • Ownership over process. Small team, few meetings, real responsibility from week one.

What success looks like
  • Multiple merges and deploys per week

  • Reliable delivery on what you commit to

  • Features that ship complete: tested, edge cases handled, side effects thought through,

  • Clear, proactive async updates

  • Growth in responsibility and scope

Benefits
  • Equity

  • Unlimited PTO

  • Health insurance

  • 401(k)

  • 9 weeks fully paid parental leave

  • Fully remote (US)

Hiring process
  1. Interview with Talent Partner (30-45 min)

  2. Short Loom video: Project Walkthrough (5–10 min). Show a project you've built: why, what problem it solves, and how you implemented it.

  3. Screen with CTO (30 min)

  4. Live shipping with our engineering team (1 hr, optional), using your usual AI tool

  5. Culture interview with our engineering team (1 hr)

  6. Offer. The final stage may include a 1-week paid work trial or a direct full-time offer.

We typically decide within a few business days of the final stage.
