Product Manager – Atlas Explorer

We are seeking a dynamic and versatile Product Manager to define the roadmap and nurture the growth of Atlas Explorer. You will drive the adoption of our software-first hardware, software co-design platform to accelerate the development and deployment of safe and secure SoCs at scale. To be successful in this role, you will need to have deep software optimization and semiconductor design expertise as well as being familiar with EDA simulation and emulation solutions.

Operating at the intersection of MIPS RISC-V processors, simulators, compilers, firmware, operating systems and application software, you will guide the development of a next-generation developer tool and grow its adoption ensuring that it’s loved by developers. Exceptional communication skills are a must! This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a startup environment and excels at juggling a wide range of responsibilities.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Own the Product Feature Backlog: Define, prioritize, and continuously groom epics, features, and user stories, balancing customer impact, strategic differentiation, and technical feasibility.
  • Shape the Roadmap: Build and maintain a rolling 12–18 month product roadmap aligned with MIPS Atlas IP roadmaps, customer needs, and key design‑in opportunities.
  • Represent the User: Drive deep understanding of target users (embedded SW engineers, SoC architects, CI/CD owners) through usage analytics, and beta programs; convert insights into requirements and measurable outcomes.
  • Ship Value Frequently: Run agile ceremonies (refinement, sprint planning, review) with cross‑functional teams to deliver incremental value such as new performance reports, experiment workflows, and Python API capabilities.
  • Data-Driven Prioritization: Define success metrics per feature (adoption, engagement, time‑to‑insight, report share rate) and use telemetry to iterate quickly.
  • Support Customer Programs: Coordinate early‑access/co‑design with strategic customers and partners; manage feedback loops and product communications (release notes, enablement, demos).
  • Go‑to‑Market Readiness: Collaborate with Product Marketing on value proposition driven by problems solved, key capabilities, and figures of merit.

Key Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience as a software engineer and have been the Technical Lead on more than 2 projects or programs.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Product Manager and have bootstrapped a new product or technology initiative.
  • Strong technical fluency in Instruction Set Architectures, C/C++ compilers, and semiconductor simulation solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
  • AI/ML Workflows: Familiarity with AI inference and model runtime optimization and understanding how AI-assisted tooling can enhance developer experience.
  • Data Visualization & Analytics: Experience with data visualization best practices or tools that translate complex performance data into clear actionable insights.
  • Shift-Left & Pre-Silicon Methodology: Understand state of the art methodologies for semiconductor design, verification/validation, virtual prototyping, or pre-RTL performance modeling workflows.
  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field from an accredited university.

Expected Salary Range

$191,000.00 - $363,000.00

The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.
