Product Manager - Data and Integrations

Gridium’s mission is to hasten the transition to a low-carbon economy. Our software helps people run commercial buildings better, at lower cost and with less energy. Gridium is looking for a product manager to help us bring efficiency to our solution and deliver on our mission.

Your role

Gridium’s analytics platform is fueled by data. We manage an ETL pipeline that aggregates energy data from hundreds of sources. We are seeking a U.S.-based product manager with experience managing data integrations and data quality for SaaS platforms. The ideal candidate is comfortable researching 3rd party software platforms, digging deep into data, and collaborating with software engineers about the best ways to ingest and verify the quality of data. Also, you should have experience working with sales and customer success teams to prioritize integrations in a strategic way to expand support to more customers.

Candidates should have experience working with a variety of tools including API testing (such as Postman, Swagger), documentation tools, data quality testing, monitoring tools (like Datadog), and tools for viewing structured data. In addition, you should be comfortable with technical aspects of integrations including structured data, authentication methods, output logs, and common integration patterns with APIs and ETL processes.

In this position you will:

  • Manage the data integrations that are offered with our SaaS energy management platform to ingest energy data from utility platforms and other 3rd parties

  • Research and document technical requirements for new data integrations

  • Build and maintain partnerships with utilities and other 3rd party partners

  • Work with stakeholders such as sales and customer success to prioritize the roadmap of integrations

  • Maintain the backlog of integration enhancements and bug fixes for engineering

  • Launch new integrations seamlessly with validated data quality

  • Accelerate new customers by improving internal tools to provision data sources

  • Ensure ongoing data quality by managing internally developed quality tools as well as maintaining an effective data quality process

Requirements
  • Passion for enabling high-quality data services for customers and a strong eye for detail

  • Track record of overcoming setbacks to data access: tracking down permissions, API docs/tokens, paperwork, red tape, and establishing partnerships

  • Experience with solutions that utilize ETL processes, API integrations, and/or robotic process automation to ingest and transform/normalize data

  • Hands-on experience configuring and organizing large amounts of data from multiple sources in a SaaS platform serving large numbers of customers

  • Experience documenting product requirements, including security and compliance aspects, as part of the software development process

  • Nice to have: experience working with utility data (billing data, meter data, Green Button)

  • Must currently reside in the United States and have the legal right to work in the United States

  • At least three years experience in a product role for a SaaS platform that sources data from numerous 3rd party systems

About Gridium

Gridium is a venture-backed SaaS application provider with a mission to bring cost-effective energy savings to commercial real estate. We have been delivering deep energy savings to our customers for fourteen years, and we are now growing faster than ever due to increasing demand for real energy solutions.

We have been an all-remote company since our founding, and we love the flexibility it affords. Remote work allows you to structure your day with minimal interruption so that you can get stuff done in the style that makes most sense for you. (And if for you that means an office in a coworking space, we’ll provide that too.)

Spending time face-to-face is important too, so several times each year we pick a city and meet up for several days of highly productive and highly fun planning and doing. We have a casual, cooperative work environment where everyone’s ideas matter.

And of course

We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.

Benefits

The position comes with salary, stock options, 401(k) match, a great health plan, vision, dental, life insurance, disability insurance, generous parental leave, and a flexible vacation policy — we want you to take the time off you need so that you are happy and productive.
