Own data product initiatives from requirements gathering through delivery, partnering with Data Engineering and business teams. Responsibilities include translating requirements into user stories, managing backlogs, prioritizing roadmaps, coordinating stakeholders, tracking project milestones and risks, and maintaining dashboards and reporting accuracy. The role requires strong knowledge of data models, pipelines, analytics workflows, and project tracking tools such as Linear or Jira.
Responsibilities:
- Own and manage data product initiatives in partnership with Data Engineering and business teams.
- Develop a strong understanding of data models, data pipelines, and dashboard/reporting environments.
- Gather business requirements and translate them into clear user stories and product requirements.
- Use Linear (or similar project tracking tools) for sprint planning, prioritization, and delivery tracking.
- Build and maintain project plans, track milestones, risks, and dependencies.
- Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to drive execution and communicate project updates
- Oversee dashboard maintenance and enhancements to ensure reporting accuracy and business alignment.
- Support roadmap planning, backlog prioritization, and end-to-end delivery of data-focused products.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of Product Management experience, preferably with data or analytics products.
- Strong understanding of data models, dashboards/reporting, and Data Engineering workflows.
- Experience creating user stories, acceptance criteria, and managing product backlogs.
- Hands-on experience with Linear, Jira, or similar project management tools.
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives and drive execution in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with Analytics/Data teams is highly preferred.
