Who we areAbout Stripe

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career.

About the team

Stripe’s Financial Systems organization partners with Stripe’s People organization to build trusted, intuitive products for employees, managers, and People professionals. We aim to make routine interactions simple and self-service while ensuring that work requiring judgment or care reaches the right person with the right context.

Our products connect data, knowledge, workflows, and systems that span the employee experience. We are building toward a future in which employees and managers can get accurate answers and complete common tasks without navigating fragmented tools, while People teams can spend more time on the work that benefits most from

What you’ll do

You will own products that make it easier for employees to get accurate guidance and complete common People-related tasks, while helping People team focus their expertise on work that requires judgment and care. You will identify the highest-impact user problems, define the product strategy and roadmap, and lead products from discovery through delivery, adoption, and iteration.

This is an opportunity to shape a growing product area at the intersection of employee experience, enterprise systems, data, and applied AI. You will help develop agentic products that connect people to accurate guidance, automate appropriate actions, and help People practitioners focus their expertise where it matters most. Success requires understanding the capabilities and limitations of AI and machine learning when applied to business-critical, regulated, and strictly governed problems. You will also use AI-enabled tools throughout the product development lifecycle to accelerate discovery, prototyping, requirements development, evaluation, and iteration while protecting employee trust.

Responsibilities
  • Develop a deep understanding of employees, managers, and People practitioners, then translate their most important needs into a focused product roadmap
  • Own products end to end, from problem discovery and strategy through delivery, adoption, measurement, and iteration
  • Design coherent experiences that connect fragmented data, knowledge, workflows, and systems
  • Partner closely with the People org, engineering, data, security, legal, and others to make sound product and architecture tradeoffs
  • Define measures to understand adoption, engagement, and impact for products and develop insights into the metrics to guide improvements to the product
  • Develop agentic People products and define where systems may recommend, act, escalate, or defer to accountable human judgment
  • Use AI-enabled tools throughout product development and help establish effective practices for AI-assisted discovery, prototyping, specification, testing, and iteration
  • Lead adoption and establish sustainable ownership and support for products that change established ways of working
Who you are

We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

Minimum requirements
  • 5+ years of product management or equivalent experience leading the development of software products for internal or external users
  • Experience independently navigating ambiguity, identifying the underlying user problem, and converting broad strategies into focused product roadmaps
  • Experience shipping products that connect workflows, data, and multiple systems or teams
  • Practical understanding of AI and machine-learning product development beyond using LLM-based tools, including model capabilities, data requirements, evaluation methods, failure modes, privacy considerations, and the tradeoffs between probabilistic, deterministic, and human-led approaches
  • Experience using AI-enabled tools to improve the quality and speed of product discovery, prototyping, delivery, or evaluation
  • Demonstrated ability to lead across functions and build alignment among stakeholders with different expertise, incentives, and responsibilities
  • Experience designing products where user trust, privacy, permissions, or other sensitive requirements are central to the product experience
Preferred qualifications
  • Experience with employee products, human-resources technology, People operations, enterprise workflow, or manager-facing tools
  • Experience building governed data products, self-service experiences, or role-aware applications
  • Experience shipping agentic or AI/ML-powered products for People or another trust-sensitive domain, with appropriate evaluation, privacy safeguards, escalation, and human accountability
  • Experience leading adoption and organizational change for products that replace established manual processes
