Product Manager IIAbout the Role

Abnormal Security is seeking an ambitious, growth-minded Product Manager II to drive innovation across our AI-native security platform. At Abnormal, we help customers—from Global 2000 enterprises to small and medium-sized businesses—stay safe from sophisticated cyberattacks that can cause financial loss and disrupt business operations. Our AI-driven approach to email security, account takeover detection, and adjacent security use cases has made us one of the fastest-growing cybersecurity companies in the world.

As a Product Manager II, you will be relied upon to own product definition, customer feedback intake, and multi-quarter roadmap planning for one complex or multiple moderately complex product areas. You’ll collaborate closely with Engineering, Design, Product leadership, and GTM teams to ship high-quality features, shape product strategy, and deliver measurable customer and business impact.

This is a high-ownership, high-autonomy role for a PM who can move seamlessly between customer problems, technical tradeoffs, and business outcomes.

What You Will Do
  • Own product definition and roadmap for your areas of responsibility
Define clear problem statements, success metrics, and product requirements for one complex or multiple moderately complex product surfaces, and maintain a 2–3 quarter roadmap that aligns with division and company strategy.
  • Drive discovery informed by customer and market insight
Partner with customers, field teams, and internal stakeholders to deeply understand user needs, security pain points, and market trends, turning them into clear product hypotheses and prioritized opportunities.
  • Lead cross-functional execution from concept to launch
Partner with Engineering, Design, Data, and GTM teams to scope solutions, make tradeoffs, manage timelines, and ensure features launch with high quality and on time.
  • Collaborate on product strategy and positioning
Contribute to product strategy for your domains, influencing how we sequence investments, differentiate in the market, and tell a compelling value story to customers and the field.
  • Champion metrics, experimentation, and continuous improvement
Define and track product KPIs (adoption, engagement, retention, incident reduction, etc.), analyze outcomes, and drive data-informed iterations to improve customer value and business impact.
  • Partner closely with GTM and customer-facing teams
Work with Product Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Support to ensure successful launches, clear enablement, and tight feedback loops from the field back into the roadmap.
  • Leverage AI and modern tooling for speed and clarity
Use AI-native tools (e.g., ChatGPT/Claude, v0, analytics platforms) to accelerate research, documentation, prototyping, and decision-making, setting a strong execution and craft bar for the team.
Must-Have Qualifications
  • 3+ years of product management experience in software, preferably in B2B SaaS or other technical domains.
  • Proven experience working on highly technical products, collaborating closely with engineering teams, and reasoning about technical tradeoffs and constraints.
  • Demonstrated ability to own a product area end-to-end: synthesizing customer feedback, defining requirements, prioritizing a roadmap, and driving execution across at least one full product or major feature lifecycle.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure ambiguous problems, define success metrics, and make well-justified decisions using both qualitative and quantitative inputs.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a track record of working effectively with Engineering, Design, and GTM partners, and presenting clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • High ownership, attention to detail, and operational excellence across planning, documentation, and execution.
  • A growth mindset and comfort operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment, with a bias toward learning, iteration, and continuous improvement.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
  • Experience in enterprise SaaS / B2B environments, especially with security, infrastructure, or platform products.
  • Prior experience in cybersecurity, security operations, or adjacent domains (e.g., identity, posture management, email security).
  • Background as a software engineer or other deeply technical role, or equivalent hands-on experience with complex technical systems.
  • Experience building platform capabilities (e.g., RBAC, notifications, shared services, extensible APIs) that are consumed by multiple product teams or customer personas.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, analytics platforms, Gong, Salesforce, and modern AI/UX prototyping tools.
Why You’ll Thrive at Abnormal

You’ll thrive in this role if you:

  • Enjoy owning meaningful product outcomes and becoming the most knowledgeable person in the company for your areas of ownership.
  • Love working at the intersection of AI, security, and user experience, and want to help customers stay ahead of sophisticated threats.
  • Value high trust, high autonomy, and want to help shape both product strategy and the craft of product management as Abnormal continues to scale.

If you’re excited to build category-defining security products in an AI-native company while growing your impact and scope as a Product Manager, we’d love to talk.
