Own the Manufacturing OS product outcome, partnering with manufacturing customers to understand workflows, identify root problems, and translate needs into product requirements. Lead the end-to-end roadmap, priorities, development schedule, and release sequencing. Author customer and prospect communications and collaborate with other product managers to create an integrated platform. The role requires manufacturing engineering leadership experience, systems thinking, familiarity with legacy hardware engineering tools, and customer-facing participation throughout sales, deployment, and post-launch.

Why Heliux:

Heliux is building the AI-native operating system for the manufacturing enterprise. We’re fundamentally reshaping how engineering and manufacturing companies run by eliminating cross-functional fragmentation and enabling agentic execution on a single, shared operational reality. Companies developing and scaling production of next-generation defense systems, nuclear reactors, robotics, and more all trust Heliux to drive their operations.

We’re on a mission to deliver operating performance for manufacturers. Our team is built on a foundation of grit combined with deep commitment to our customers and the mission. If you want to do important work for critical industries on an ambitious, high-energy team, we’d love for you to join us.

About the Role:

The Product Manager will report directly to the CEO, and is responsible for the outcome of Manufacturing OS, Heliux’s manufacturing execution system:

  • Partner closely with our customers’ manufacturing engineering and production organizations to gain a continuous understanding of their work–the good, the bad, the ugly.

  • Anticipate the capabilities that our customers need and translate them into clearly-defined product requirements that drive our design and engineering work.

  • Own end-to-end roadmap for Manufacturing OS, including priorities, development schedule, and release sequencing.

  • Author release communications for both existing customers and prospects, across every channel.

  • Work with Product Managers across Heliux to ensure the platform is greater than the sum of its modules.

About You:

  • Proven experience as a manufacturing engineering leader supporting operations that ship complex hardware systems that are used in the field (i.e., not science projects).

  • Deep familiarity with (and disdain for) the legacy tools used by hardware engineers, such as CAD, PDM, PLM, ERP, MES, etc.

  • Proven systems thinker who finds the root problem rather than the requested feature and converts it into clear product requirements.

  • Willingness to be customer-facing–from the sales process, through deployment, and post-go-live.

Technical Environment:

  • Backend: Rust, Python, high-performance backend services, APIs, data-intensive systems.

  • Frontend: TypeScript, React, Next.js, real-time interfaces, WebSockets, Server-Sent Events (SSE).

  • Systems/Integrations: C#, Electron

  • Distributed Systems & Orchestration: durable workflow execution, Temporal, event-driven architectures, distributed systems

  • Infrastructure: Terraform, AWS, Bedrock, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB

  • Security/Compliance: CMMC, FedRAMP, ITAR

What We Offer:

  • Competitive compensation package, including company equity.

  • Healthcare coverage across medical, dental, and vision.

  • Company-provided lunch and dinner.

  • Unlimited PTO.

All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, physical and mental disability, health status, marital and family status, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, military and veteran status, and any other characteristic protected by applicable law.
