Who We’re Looking For -This contract position will coordinate with the Director, Product Management for Wet Goods and support category ownership for new formulation product lines. The engagement will focus on new formula development, claims substantiation, scale-up of new products, and launch calendar support. Please note, this is a 4-month contract role covering a maternity leave.


Responsibilities: 

  • Support the execution of new product development programs within a personal grooming category in the MANSCAPED® portfolio, ensuring projects progress according to established timelines, stage gate requirements, and launch objectives.  
  • Translate approved product concepts and innovation briefs into actionable development plans, partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure project requirements, consumer needs, and business objectives are carried through the development process. 
  • Drive product development and scale-up execution, including formula development coordination, claims testing, packaging development, artwork initiation, technical transfer activities, and production readiness to support successful commercialization. 
  • Manage product costing and business case support, including COGs development, gross margin analysis, financial tracking, and maintenance of approved pricing recommendations throughout the development process. 
  • Track and communicate project status to the PD team, senior leadership and cross-functional teams, proactively identifying risks, escalating issues, and coordinating mitigation plans to maintain project timelines and launch readiness. 
  • Partner closely with PMO, Design, Marketing, QA, Regulatory, Packaging, Operations, and Channel teams to ensure the successful and timely execution of product launches. Facilitate alignment across stakeholders and drive follow-through on key deliverables. 
  • Provide strong organization and tracking support for Product Development and Packaging teams, maintaining project documentation, timelines, action items, and progress reporting across multiple initiatives. 
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications: 

  • 8+ years of experience in executional product development and category ownership role   
  • Proven expertise in overseeing the entire lifecycle of Product Development within personal grooming category  
  • Process-driven mentality, with technical skill set in formula development  
  • Working knowledge of MS project, Asana (or equivalent project management system), and Specification systems  
  • Proven experience supporting a successful product launch   
  • Proven ability to create and execute comprehensive launch calendars aligned with MANSCAPED® roadmap, while effectively identifying opportunities for portfolio optimization   
  • Strong leadership in new product development execution, including overseeing formula development, claims testing, packaging design, artwork initiation, and production, while ensuring accurate cost-of-goods analysis and financial justification  
  • Ability to communicate project statuses and risks effectively to senior leadership and cross-functional teams, facilitating resolution of obstacles and implementation of risk mitigation plans, while maintaining a pulse on industry trends and competitive landscape to drive category leadership and brand perspective  
  • Collaborative, resourceful, ability to learn quickly and adapt to an evolving atmosphere
