What You'll Do

We’re looking for a Product Manager to own and drive a portfolio of products and enhancements focused on payment reconciliation, settlement, and reporting. This person will translate business and operational needs into a clear product roadmap, maintain and prioritize the Jira backlog, and manage work through engineering delivery. The role includes new and enhanced transaction reporting, settlement-related processes, and capabilities that help identify and resolve reconciliation issues. You will partner with product leadership to align on priorities, then independently manage planning and execution. You will stay closely connected with engineering, lead regular check-ins, monitor sprint progress, address open questions and dependencies, and keep initiatives moving through completion. Once trained on TabaPay’s products and processes, you can work independently with limited guidance, recognize what needs attention, and proactively take action to move it forward.

What You’ll Own

  • The roadmap for products and enhancements related to reconciliation, settlement, and reporting.
  • The intake, definition, organization, and prioritization of product requests, enhancements, and engineering tickets in Jira.
  • Clear product requirements, user stories, workflows, and acceptance criteria.
  • Backlog refinement, sprint planning, regular engineering standups, and delivery-status updates.
  • Coordination with engineering to answer questions, manage dependencies, remove blockers, and keep work on track.
  • Communication of priorities, timelines, tradeoffs, risks, and progress to product leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Investigation and improvement of transaction-reporting gaps, settlement processes, reconciliation issues, and operational inefficiencies.
  • Product testing, data validation, launch readiness, documentation, and post-launch follow-up.

Qualifications

  • Five to seven years of overall professional experience, including two to three years working with financial or payments products.
  • Experience owning a product roadmap and managing work from initial requirements through engineering delivery.
  • Strong experience maintaining and prioritizing product backlogs in Jira.
  • Experience working in an Agile product-development environment, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, standups, retrospectives, and release planning.
  • Experience partnering closely with engineering teams and managing sprint execution and delivery.
  • Ability to translate complex business, operational, and financial needs into clear product requirements.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a nuanced and ambiguous environment.
  • Demonstrated initiative and the ability to work independently with limited guidance once trained.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail, particularly when working with financial and transaction-level data.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with payment reconciliation, settlement, transaction reporting, financial reporting, exception management.
  • Experience with credit cards, debit cards, instant payments, money movement, or payment processing.
  • Familiarity with transaction lifecycles, settlement files, processor reports, bank reports, ledgers, fees adjustments, returns, and chargebacks.
