Job Description

Visa U.S.A. Inc., a Visa Inc. company, needs a Product Manager (multiple openings) in Foster City, CA to:

  • Define and evolve the product strategy for Agentic Commerce and AI driven initiatives from framing the market opportunity, competitive landscape, and positioning of Visa's platform capabilities.
  • Develop and communicate strategic narratives internally and externally that clarify how autonomous agents will interact with tokenization, checkout, identity, and payment systems.
  • Identify and prioritize use cases (e.g., AI-powered shopping assistants, invoice automation, recurring subscriptions) that align with our platform strengths and customer needs.
  • Shape ecosystem partnerships with AI companies, commerce platforms, and financial institutions to accelerate adoption and network effects.
  • Work with product leaders to translate strategy into actionable roadmaps and phased investments, balancing innovation, compliance, and scalability.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment across GTM, legal, risk, and product teams to support product launches, pilot programs, and strategic customer onboarding.
  • Analyze and communicate performance using metrics, customer feedback, and external signals to refine our position in the agentic commerce landscape.
  • Work with Solution Design, Architects and engineering teams to develop products that drive innovation and revenue to improve Visa's position globally.
  • Position reports to the Foster City, California office and may allow for partial telecommuting.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Engineering, Human Computer Interaction (HCI) or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a Product Manager-related occupation.
  • Position requires experience in the following:
    1. Product strategy, product management, or strategic product roles at a leading technology, fintech, or commerce company.
    2. Strong understanding of payment infrastructure, tokenization, and commerce platforms.
    3. Deep understanding of API design, Agentic flows.
    4. Experience with developer ecosystems, partner platforms, or AI/LLM-based products.
    5. Experience interfacing with C-level stakeholders, external partners, and technical leaders.
    6. Experience in platform/API monetization strategy, agent ecosystems, or embedded finance.
    7. Experience working on go-to-market or product strategy for developer tools, identity, or payment orchestration.
    8. Familiarity with risk, compliance, and regulatory considerations in intelligent agent flows.

Additional Information

Worksite: Foster City, CA

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Travel Requirements: This position does not require travel.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for this position is $183,102.00 to $233,700.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
