About On Me

Humans have given each other gifts since the dawn of time. For gratitude, for friendship, and for love. In today’s society, gifting has become harder and much more wasteful, as it’s become nearly impossible to know exactly what someone wants, when you just want to show that you care.

On Me is revolutionizing gifting by rebuilding it for the mobile and Instagram era. Traditional gift cards are impersonal and rigid, usually sold by an old and wealthy megacorp. We make it easy to send a personalized, media-rich gift that’s spendable across brands, fits someone’s hobbies, and drops straight into their mobile wallet for tap‑to‑pay. Check out our live experience at onme.com.

We’re a small startup from Google and Apple moving fast on a massive category and have raised $8M from top‑tier investors like NFX, Lerer Hippeau, Focal VC, and Mastercard. Since launching in November 2024, On Me has been featured in Tech Crunch, Fortune, and The Wall Street Journal. In 2025, we sustained over 40% growth month over month throughout the year, and the trend shows no sign of stopping.

In 2026, we’re doubling down on making every gift feel magical end‑to‑end and building an amazing consumer product. As our first product manager, you’ll set the bar for how we ship — turning fuzzy ideas into crisp flows, driving execution across the team, and shaping the product surfaces that millions of gifters will touch.

Who you are

You operate with the autonomy and judgment of a senior PM, regardless of years on paper. You can walk into a vague problem and walk out with a plan. You move things across the finish line, sweat the details, and have a real point of view on what good looks like. You build conviction from talking to users and watching how they actually behave, and you partner closely with designers on the look, feel, and polish of what you ship. You’re happy juggling many threads at once, comfortable cutting work that doesn’t matter, and energized by working shoulder-to-shoulder with engineers, designers, and the founding team in a fast-moving startup.

What you’ll do

As On Me’s first product manager, you’ll work directly with our CEO Darragh and the founding team to own the roadmap and execution across our consumer gifting app, growth surfaces, and our emerging business gifting product. You’ll translate fuzzy goals into concrete flows, drive projects across product, design, and engineering, and own the metrics that determine whether what we ship actually moves the needle. You’ll have end-to-end ownership of critical product areas, drive both product and engineering decisions, and have meaningful influence on the company’s direction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own product strategy and execution across core consumer gifting, growth, and business gifting surfaces.

  • Turn vague problems into PRDs, flows, and milestones

  • Work hand-in-hand with design and engineering to take fuzzy goals to concrete features.

  • Define, instrument, and watch the metrics that tell you whether what we shipped actually worked.

  • Keep work moving: align stakeholders, remove blockers, and chase down loose ends.

  • Talk to users regularly — run interviews, usability sessions, and quick research loops to keep us close to real behavior.

  • Partner with design on craft, join design crits, and hold the bar on polish across every surface.

  • Own launches end-to-end: work with marketing, ops, and partnerships to take features from ship to real traction.

  • Use AI tooling to prototype, sharpen decisions, and raise the team’s output.

Requirements
  • 3–5 years of PM experience shipping user-facing products.

  • Experience taking ambiguous, loosely scoped problems through to shipped features.

  • Experience managing multiple workstreams in parallel.

  • Hands-on experience running user interviews, usability sessions, or other product research.

  • Examples of shipped work with measurable impact on user or business outcomes.

  • Experience partnering closely with designers on product quality and polish.

  • Comfort reading SQL and writing basic queries.

  • Daily use of AI tooling for prototyping and to accelerate your work.

  • Fluency with product metrics and analytics, including instrumentation.

  • Clear, direct communication with engineering, design, and business partners.

Bonus points
  • Consumer product experience, especially in a startup context.

  • Strong design sensibility and an eye for craft.

  • Technical degree (CS or engineering).

  • Experience with payments, fintech, or other high-value transactional products.

What We Offer
  • Meaningful early employee equity in a fast-growing consumer startup.

  • A dynamic, collaborative, balanced, and inclusive work culture.

  • The opportunity to deeply shape our product roadmap, processes, and Product Management culture as our first PM.

  • Hybrid office in SF (preferred), with NYC hybrid also possible.

  • Unlimited paid time off.

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance.

  • 401k

Who You’ll Work With

At On Me, you’ll join a small, elite team of builders from Google and Apple who move fast and care deeply about product quality. You’ll report to and work daily with:

  • Darragh Meaney, CEO — Formerly at Google Ads and YouTube

  • Sitar Harel, CTO — Formerly at Google Maps and Google Photos

  • Daniel Li, Founding Engineer — ex-Apple, WWDC session speaker and Cornell AppDev alum

  • Neil Shankar, Founding Designer — previously Senior Designer at Google and Block (formerly Square)

And a team of amazing engineers and designers!

We combine big-tech craft with startup speed—and we’re just getting started.

What you need to know about the San Francisco Tech Scene

San Francisco and the surrounding Bay Area attracts more startup funding than any other region in the world. Home to Stanford University and UC Berkeley, leading VC firms and several of the world’s most valuable companies, the Bay Area is the place to go for anyone looking to make it big in the tech industry. That said, San Francisco has a lot to offer beyond technology thanks to a thriving art and music scene, excellent food and a short drive to several of the country’s most beautiful recreational areas.

Key Facts About San Francisco Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 365,500; 13.9% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Google, Apple, Salesforce, Meta
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, fintech, consumer technology, software
  • Funding Landscape: $50.5 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, Bessemer Venture Partners, Greylock Partners, Khosla Ventures, Kleiner Perkins
  • Research Centers and Universities: Stanford University; University of California, Berkeley; University of San Francisco; Santa Clara University; Ames Research Center; Center for AI Safety; California Institute for Regenerative Medicine
