The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Product Marketing Manager (PMM) to drive the go-to-market strategy for Postman’s robust set of API testing automation capabilities and take them to the next stage of growth. The products and features include:

  • Functional Testing Capabilities: Includes Collection Runner, Monitors for cloud-based automation testing, and Postman CLI—Postman’s command-line companion for all things CI/CD.
  • Performance Testing: Postman introduced local API load testing in 2023, with a robust roadmap planned for 2025 and beyond. You'll collaborate closely with the product team to drive adoption and future innovation.
  • Postbot: Postman’s AI Assistant helps users automate tasks such as generating tests, with continuous innovation on the horizon. You'll oversee its growth and adoption.

You’ll work closely with product, sales, developer relations, and the broader GTM org to ensure customers understand and adopt these features to streamline API workflows, improve reliability, and integrate automation into their development processes. The experience will include both scaling existing products as well as launching new products and features. The user base is spread across enterprise, SMBs as well as mid-market customers across America, APAC and EMEA.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and execute go-to-market (GTM) strategies for Postman’s automation capabilities.
  • Craft compelling messaging and positioning to highlight the value of API automation for developers, QA teams, and engineering leaders.
  • Drive pricing and packaging decisions related to Postman’s automation products
  • Utilize data to inform decision-making
  • Collaborate with Product Management to influence roadmap decisions based on market trends, customer feedback, and competitive insights.
  • Create and optimize content strategies to educate users about API automation.
  • Partner with Sales and Customer Success to drive adoption, retention, and expansion of automation-related features.
  • Understand the competitive landscape around API automation capabilities and use these insights to inform GTM strategies and tactics
  • Develop enablement materials for sales and customer success teams, ensuring they can effectively articulate the value of Postman’s automation features.

About You

  • 3-7 years of experience in product marketing, developer marketing, or technical marketing, ideally in a SaaS or developer-focused company.
  • Strong understanding of API development, testing, and automation workflows.
  • Experience working with technical audiences such as developers, QA engineers, and DevOps teams.
  • Proven ability to create clear, compelling messaging for complex technical products.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, with experience developing content for a developer audience.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with Postman or similar API development tools is a plus.

The reasonably estimated base salary for this role ranges from $124,000 - $208,000, plus a competitive equity package. Actual compensation is based on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
